What is Soo-ae's last drama? Details explored as actress joins Nexus E&M

Soo-ae last starred in The Artificial City, released four years ago. The South Korean actress has inked a deal with Nexus E&M. Announcing the news, the agency wrote:

"We have signed an exclusive contract with Soo-ae. We plan to fully support her to maintain the deep trust she has built as an actress and to showcase an even more mature side. In particular, we will do our best to help her realize her desire to become an artist who can exert positive influence commensurate with the trust and love she receives as an actress."

Additionally, the company's Instagram page uploaded a welcome post for the actress with a black and white photo, which has received excitement from the fans.

Some of the other renowned stars under the same label include Song Ji Hyo, Baek Dong Hyun, and Jang Dong Joo.

Soo-ae's famous dramas

Over the years, Soo-ae has worked in a range of famous dramas, which include Mask, Queen of Ambition, and Emperor of the Sea. Her famous movies include Take Off 2, The Flu, and Once in a Summer. Speaking of the character she played in The Flu, she reportedly said to the Korea Herald:

"In-hae is, I think, the most flawed character that I’ve ever played. She is often selfish. It’s hard to argue that she is an ideal mother. But I guess it is also her flaws that make this character engaging and attractive."

During the interview, Soo-ae talked about the hardest part of her role, which, according to her, was playing a mother. She shared that, unlike her own strong and caring mom, her character In-hae leans on her young daughter, which made the role tricky for her. Another movie of hers, The Sword with No Name, with Cho Seung Woo, received a lot of appreciation from the fans after its release.

Speaking of her co-star, she said in a reported statement by Korea JoongAng Daily:

"I benefitted so much from my co-star Cho. I realized why he is considered a top star. Cho and I are the same age, so we became quite close during filming but kept talking in the honorific. Thanks to that, it was easier for me to fully absorb myself in the love aspect of my role."

Soo-ae also appeared as a guest on the well-known TV show Running Man. While people know her as an actress, in a 2013 interview with Entertainment Weekly, she said she once trained to debut in a girl group as a rapper.
