Taylor Swift was spotted outside The Eighty Six in Manhattan, New York. In between the glamorous dresses and chic outfits she wore for late-night shows and interviews for The Life of a Showgirl's press tour, Taylor toned it down a notch for a quiet dinner outing. The singer was spotted wearing a preppy outfit with fall-themed colors and boots.

This is the first time Taylor Swift was spotted in public, aside from the press tour for her latest album. She was wearing a black long-sleeved turtleneck sweater, paired with a Miu Miu pleated tartan miniskirt. She completed the look with tan knee-high boots and a Montaigne Avenue Top Handle Bag. According to People, Swift's Miu Miu miniskirt retails for $2,350, and her Dior bag costs $3,450.

For accessories, she matched the gold hardware on her bag with Cartier's Love bracelet, gold chain pendant, and gold rings. For makeup and hair, she straightened her blonde locks with her signature bangs and red lips.

How is Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl doing?

Taylor Swift's twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, has been doing well on the charts and received positive critical reception as well. It was released on October 3, and five days after its release, it had held the top 10 spots on Spotify's Top 50 Global charts.

A few days ago, all the top 12 spots were held by Swift's The Life of a Showgirl songs. At the time of writing, Honey has dropped from 12th place and is replaced by HUNTR/X's Golden.

The album also received a 70 out of 100 from Metacritic from a total of 22 critic scores. Maya Georgi, a Rolling Stone critic, said that she enjoyed Swift's "incisive" storytelling. Whereas, Mark Savage from BBC News said that the album was "compelling songwriting and whip-smart production."

However, there are also a few other critics who thought Swift's latest album was not as good compared to her previous works. Their main issue was with the lyrical and sonic direction of the album.

Amanda Petrusich from The New Yorker said that "some essential dynamism" was lacking from The Life of a Showgirl. Ludovic Hunter-Tilney from the Financial Times praised Taylor Swift's vocals, but believed that the album as a whole did not contain the best lyrics.

India Block from The London Standard said that The Life of a Showgirl is a step back from Swift's previous albums, including Folklore and Evermore.

But the majority agreed that Taylor's latest studio album contained a:

"...scattershot collection of pop bangers," according to Matthew Dwyer from PopMatters.

Taylor Swift's Manhattan dinner look proved that simplicity can still turn heads. Dressed in a chic black turtleneck, a Miu Miu tartan skirt, and tan boots, she perfectly captured cozy fall elegance.
