Popular Twitch streamer Nina Lin has apologised to Said after an old 2024 livestream circulated on social media and sparked strong backlash. In the video, Nina Lin is holding down an uncomfortable Said for another streamer, Zoe Spencer, to twerk on.
On Saturday, October 25, 2025, Nina addressed the situation and apologised to Said, claiming she thought it was a joke.
She took responsibility for her actions and admitted that they were very wrong.
“I’m old enough to own up to what I did wrong, and during the situation, I genuinely and one hundred per cent thought it was a joke. I just thought he was laughing, so I'm like, we are all laughing and giggling. Yeah, but I see. It is really wrong. It is really, really wrong, and what we did was wrong.”
She continued:
“He clearly was uncomfortable with it, you know, and he was very hurt by it. But I do wanna let you know I got mad love for Said, no matter what he says about me, I do have love for Said, and he’s been nothing but great.”
More details on Nina Lin’s apology
In her apology video, Nina revealed that she wasn't bothered by what other streamers were saying about her. She only cared for Said’s feelings and mental health.
“Everyone else who is talking about me right now, whoever creator is, whatever streamer, I truly don't give a f*ck, I don't care, okay. Anything they say, I don't care. What happened is between me and him; I will talk to him. If he doesn't want to talk, that's totally fine. Whatever happens, I'm only worried about him.”
She added:
“I'm worried if he’s okay and if his mental state is okay. That's it, because at the end of the day, the person who really got hurt was him. And it wasn't me or nothing, so I'm not over here being like ‘what about me?’ It's like chat, I'm always going to be alright. Trust me, but I wanna make sure he is okay, cause he's been very nice, he has always been very nice to me.”
She said towards the end of the video:
“I've said this three times already. He's been nothing but a good person to be around, always welcoming, even after the situation. Whenever he sees me, we're like, "Hey, how are you?”
