The South Korean R&B duo, As One, is causing a stir online, as the Korean-American singer, Lee Min, one-half of the group, died on August 5, 2025. As per her agency, Brandnew Music, Lee was found dead in her home, and the police are investigating the case, according to Malay Mail.
Lee Min, whose real name was Lee Min-young, and Crystal were the musical duo: As One. The group made its debut in 1999 with the album Day by Day, before announcing its hiatus from the music industry in 2017.
She was 46 years old at the time of her death.

Lee Min's agency, Brandnew Music, shared the news of her passing on August 6, 2025. In a statement, they said:
''Last night, Lee Min’s husband discovered her when he returned home. The police are conducting an investigation. We ask that people refrain from excessive speculation until the results are released.''
Lee Min and Crystal formed the group, and their first hit song, Only You Wouldn't Know, released in 1999. Over the years, they released a few more albums, including You're Welcome in 2001, Carolling in 2002, Never Too Far in 2003, and Restoration in 2004. In 2006, they released their fifth album, 12 Tears Of Farewell, and 12 Nights was their lead track from the album.
In 2014, they hosted a radio show called 'K-Popular' on TBS eFM radio. They made their comeback in the music industry in 2016 with the sixth studio album Outlast and with the single, The Pain I Caused. The next year, the group announced its hiatus.
The pair was then seen on the South Korean music variety show Sugarman 3 on JTBC in 2019. Among the live albums the duo sang includes Forever As One, As One Live, and One + One. Some of the best-known singles of the group include Goodbye for Now, Something Like a Miracle, Winter Wonderland, Don't Say Anything, and Even For 1 Minute.
As per reports, Lee has been active in the music industry and also appeared on KBS 2TV’s The Seasons: Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile in May. As reported by Soompi, Crystal, the other half of the group, who currently reside in the United States, is traveling to Korea after she learned about Lee's passing.
Although the group had parted in 2017, Lee and Crystal had reunited recently to release a new song, Happy Birthday To You, which marked the duo's reunion. They also performed it together on Park Bo-gum’s show, marking the duo's last performance.
Fans are mourning the loss of the singer, and her passing has deeply affected the K-pop and R&B community.
