Ace Frehley, the founding member of the rock band Kiss, died on October 16 at the age of 74. Frehley was kept on life support after experiencing a fall that led to a brain bleed, according to a report by TMZ. The news was confirmed by his family.
During the early years of his career, Ace was married to Jeanette Trerotola. The couple tied the knot in 1976 and were reportedly together for seven years. While they were separated, they never officially divorced, as per Hollywood Life. However, as per Ace Space Online, the couple did get divorced, leaving their exact marital status uncertain.
The two shared a daughter named Monique. Frehley also talked about his separation from Jeanette Trerotola in the book No Regrets that he co-wrote with John Ostrosky:
"A fresh start was in order and part of the process involved legally separating from my wife. Jeanette had decided to move on, and was involved in a relationship with a local guy."
Details about Ace Frehley's other relationships
Ace Frehley was in a relationship with Audrey Hamilton. The couple dated for almost two years, from 1979 to 1981. Frehley also dated Wendy Moore after his breakup for around two years, according to Space Ace Online. Later on, Wendy wrote a book titled Into The Void...With Ace Frehley, where she talked about her relationship with Ace and the struggles she faced.
His first long-term relationship after his separation was with Rachael Gordon. The couple exchanged rings in 2010, marking their engagement. The two were together for eleven years. However, Gordon later filed an abuse restraining order against Frehley, according to NBC San Diego, saying:
"My life has been threatened by him and people who he knows."
Ace Frehley’s most recent relationship was with a teacher named Lara Cove. The couple was together for almost six years. Last year, Frehley announced the news of their breakup in a live concert, saying:
"I broke up with my ex, Lara. Sorry. She’s gone. I still care about her. Wonderful girl, beautiful girl. We decided to part our own ways, and she’s happy, I’m happy. It was just time. Things go south, right? Three out of four marriages end after five years in this country, statistically. I don’t wanna be a bearer of bad news, but that’s reality."
The news was also confirmed by Lara on her Facebook page. Respecting their past relationship, she said:
"I refuse to say one bad word about him and will not be discussing our breakup further."
