Anna Muller responded to the viral criticism after her husband, Cameron Muller, chose to take her surname following their marriage.
In an exclusive interview with People magazine on October 5, 2025, the couple revealed that they had an “open conversation” about whether to change their last names after marriage. Their decision was formalized through legal paperwork filed by Cameron at the end of September.
Anna said:
“A lot of people think, ‘You flipped tradition,’ and that’s not what happened. We evolved past it. It’s so important that there’s more conversation and it’s more normalized that there are different ways to go about partnerships that can be more equal.”
Muller is a life coach, speaker, content creator, and a mother. According to her bio on the Voices of Hope website, she is best known for her TikTok, where she talks about “her own struggles with the intention of helping others through their own journey.”

Anna was born on August 10, 1994, in Seattle. She rose to prominence on TikTok by sharing glimpses of her life as a single mother and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.
