Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin recently found themselves at the centre of online buzz after comedian and influencer Dan Mahboubian Rosen shared a scathing review of their Hamptons home.

In an Instagram reel shared last October, Rosen humorosly reviewed their Amagansett farmhouse in the Hamptons, where he poked fun at the home’s décor. However, the couple didn’t stay silent for long as they jumped into the comments section of his reel to slam him.

Baldwin retorted:

"Why don’t you go away?"

While Hilaria opted for a more light-hearted jab and commented with a laughing emoji.

Rosen is a comedian and creator based in New York. He is the co-founder of Cannibal Milkshake Comedy. He is known for his comedy videos and has been featured by outlets like Comedy Central, The New Yorker, and various comedy festivals.

Dan Mahboubian Rosen mocked Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s Hamptons home

Ever since Dan Mahboubian Rosen mocked Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s Hamptons home on his Instagram, the reel has been widely shared across social media. The reel garnered over 10,000 likes on Instagram alone.

While some individuals responded with laughter, others believed that the house did not adequately honor Hilaria's Spanish heritage. In various interviews, Hilaria has stated that she was born in Spain and speaks Spanish as her native language. However, reports have indicated that her family is originally from the United States and that her birth name is actually Hilary, not Hilaria.

Dan Mahboubian Rosen shared the reel on October 6 and captioned it as:

“I apologize to the Baldwins for the quality of my Spanish accent (and their home).”

He began his clip by reviewing the living room where a cat is asleep on a couch, and says:

“How does someone with so much money like Alec Baldwin live in a place like this? Look even the cat is fallen asleep..it is so bored with the home.”

Rosen described the home as bland, like “mayonnaise and reminiscent of a "Groupon to Pottery Barn.” He also mocked specific elements in their house, like the “jailed” pendant light and a large painting of Hilaria hanging above the fireplace.

In an interview with Culture, Dan Mahboubian Rosen shared the idea of starting his celebrity home reviews during the pandemic. He explained that while he was secluded in his apartment during the COVID-19 lockdowns, he became obsessed with such videos in which celebs showed off their homes. But at the same time, a repetitive and boring aesthetic also frustrated him. He said:

“I was obsessed with them and at the same time hated watching them. They were all the same. They had the same tone and the same decor; it was frustrating.”

Eventually, Dan Mahboubian Rosen started reviewing these houses by posting videos on his TikTok account. In a matter of days, his content became quite popular among the social media users. He said:

“I guess people liked them because they saw passion in them, and also a certain cruelty that comes from the tradition of comedy.”

His reviews playfully criticized the decorative clichés and styles common in celebrity homes. Besides Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, Rosen reviewed the homes of several celebrities like Tommy Hilfiger, the Kardashians, Adam Levine, Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, and Gwen Stefani, among others.
