On August 2, 2025, Matt Rife and Elton Castee made a big announcement. They said they bought the former home and occult museum of Ed and Lorraine Warren in Monroe, Connecticut. This place holds the history of ghost stories and haunted objects, including the Annabelle doll.

Matt Rife said in a post that he will be the legal guardian of the Annabelle doll and other haunted items for five years. He said they want people to come see the house and learn about its haunted past. They plan to open the house by summer next year. The plan is to offer overnight stays and tours for guests and fans of the paranormal.

Matt Rife added that he is excited to own such an important part of paranormal history. He said,

"If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with the paranormal and all things haunted. You also may know The Conjuring films are my favorite scary movies of all time. So I’m incredibly honored to have taken over one of the most prominent properties in paranormal history."

Activist fans may also remember that recently, the doll’s handler, Dan Rivera, died suddenly while on tour with Annabelle. It was part of the “Devils on the Run Tour.” His death renewed attention on the doll’s history. The new owners said the doll will finish its planned tour stops and then retire to the museum at the house for guests to see during their stays.
