Rapper Fivio Foreign has recently been released from jail, according to reports. As per TMZ Hip Hop, the rapper was released from jail on August 1 after he agreed to the terms of his three-year probation. The rapper was involved in an altercation with a woman earlier this year, which resulted in his incarceration for more than six months.
In total, Fivio Foreign spent 196 days in jail, and the terms of his bail have been deemed "fair" by his attorney, Adam Lustberg, as well. There had been fears behind the doors that the rapper could have faced a much harsher sentence, especially after charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and unlawful possession of weapons were filed against him earlier this year.
According to multiple reports, the incident began when a woman approached Fivio asking for help jumpstarting her car at an apartment complex. The situation escalated dramatically when, according to the woman’s allegations, Fivio pulled out a gun and pointed it at her and said the following:
"If I see you parked in front of this building again there is going to be a f****** problem."
This interaction is said to have been captured in surveillance footage and supported by witnesses, too. Following his arrest in January, he spent the next 196 days in jail. The rapper has now been released from jail after he accepted the terms of his probation and pleaded guilty to making the terroristic threats against the woman.
Fivio Foreign - a brief history
His song, Big Drip (released in 2019), made Fivio Foreign a very distinguishable figure in the Brooklyn drill music scene. His musical career has since been successful, and he has associated himself with artists such as Drake, Lil Baby, and Quavo via collaborations.
The rapper is by no means a stranger to controversies and has also landed himself in certain legal issues over the years. He has been a zealous advocate of Tory Lanez in the past and even championed his beliefs over Lanez's alleged involvement in Megan Thee Stallion's shooting case in 2020.
While making an appearance on Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion Podcast last year, he was quoted as saying:
"I f**k with Tory. I know Tory as a real person. In my eyes, I don’t even know if Tory have any guns. I know him. I know his personality. I don’t see him as that type of person. I wasn’t there, I’m not a lawyer or no scientist, but if somebody said they got shot and there’s no hole in their body, then they didn’t get shot. We all know that but we know how this sh*t go. I’m not saying she lying, but if it was a lie, then she threw a man’s life away. That’s f**king crazy."
Despite being imprisoned for more than half of 2025, Fivio Foreign maintained some presence in the music industry. He released collaborative singles with artists including Plaqueboymax, Caldwell, Gino Mondana, and Hai Shawn Martin.
