Exploring Liz McClarnon’s personal life details

Liz McClarnon was born in April 1981 in Liverpool in England. She attended St. Julie’s Catholic High School. While she was still in secondary school, her music teacher encouraged her to audition for a new girl group. This pivotal moment in her life marked the beginning of her journey with the girl group Atomic Kitten. She went on to pursue her higher studies at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.

She is popularly known as the longest-serving member of the English girl group, Atomic Kitten. Besides Liz McClarnon, the group consisted of Kerry Katona, Jenny Frost, Heidi Range and Natasha Hamilton. It went on to sell over 10 million records worldwide.

Atomic Kitten’s Whole Again became the group’s no.1 hit and spent four consecutive weeks in the UK charts. With its worldwide success, the group re-released their album, Right Now.

Beyond her musical career, Liz McClarnon transitioned into television and theatre. She appeared in the series Moving On and in the TV movie Enchanted the Musical.

She was also seen as the host of the British TV show, Hotter Than My Daughter. Additionally, she made numerous guest appearances on shows like Celebrity Juice and The Big Reunion.

Liz McClarnon has also spoken about her IVF journey in the past. She revealed that she underwent eight rounds of treatment in three years, before being blessed with a baby boy recently. During an interview with OK! magazine, she said:

“The first time we did it, I thought, ‘this will be it’, but by my third cycle, it was obviously very different. When that one didn’t work, I was really quite sick and I was in a dark hole.”

She added how she gained weight while undergoing IVF treatment. She said that she didn't want the IVF to become her identity. She further shared how the comments online about her appearance broke her down, as people were unaware of what McClarnon was dealing with at that time. She then decided to take a break after her wedding to Peter Cho.

Following her marriage to her husband, McClarnon has been living a quiet and peaceful life in Liverpool with her family.
