Marta Hermoso arrested, details explored
The 35-year-old influencer from Spain has been arrested in connection with a high-profile theft. In September 2024, a Mexican businessman was looted. The items stolen included bracelets worth 6,700 euros and 5,000 euros, and three luxury watches, which were valued at a sum of 360,000 euros, along with other personal items.
As per Elmundo America, the surveillance footage showed Marta with the businessman entering the hotel premises on the night of the incident. Later, as the investigation progressed, Daniel, Isaac C., and Juan Ramón J were also found involved in the theft. Daniel and Isaac turned out to be brothers who had been previously arrested on various occasions.
Daniel alleged that it was Marta who planned the whole theft and gave them all the information regarding the items in the safe of the room, and also the schedule of the businessman. The robbery plan was revealed during the investigation, and it included Marta taking Abasca, the businessman, out of the hotel to eat and then to a hunting ground. During this time, the robbery had to be carried out.
Daniel also said that he had booked a room at the same hotel and met Marta there as she disclosed the plan. He also said that he had rejected the plan and asked the hotel for a reimbursement, which they gave. Following their arrest last year, Marta and others were released, but they faced charges of aggravated robbery.
Marta has denied involvement in the case and will be pursuing legal action. The robbery came to light when the businessman had left his hotel room in the morning, and by the time he came back in the afternoon, he found the door forced open, and the safe missing, as per the Telecinco program Fiesta.
The case garnered media attention, leading to Marta deleting her social media accounts to avoid controversy as she faces legal challenges. As the investigation continues, more details are expected to emerge.
