Who is Paul Kim? All about content creator who lost his 5-year old son after contracting to flu

Paul Kim, a popular American catholic influencer, recently announced that his 5-year-old son Micah died on Wednesday. Paul is described as a singer, speaker, and inspirer on his official website. He uses his social media platforms, like Instagram, where he maintains over 300,000 followers, to preach Christ.

Some of his content includes using his musical talents, comedy and inspirational talks to promote the gospel. He graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a BA in philosophy.

Paul Kim is the author of A Catholic Guide to Adulting and the founder of the Triumph Men’s Conference. He has two music albums in his name and is married with six children.

Paul Kim loses his five-year-old son, Micah

On Thursday, Paul Kim took to his official Instagram to announce the passing of his five-year-old son Micah, who was rushed to the hospital after having a medical emergency. He shared that Micah ‘went home to the house of our father’ after ‘fighting 11 long, hard days.’

On December 21, Paul Kim shared in a video via Instagram that Micah had been hospitalized. In updates shared in the following days, Paul revealed that Micah was battling with a severe case of influenza and had to be placed on life support. The family had to celebrate Christmas mass with Micah in his hospital room.

“This has undeniably been the heaviest cross my wife and I have carried in our entire lives. I have never felt so crushed and helpless in my life. But I have simultaneously never felt so strong and upheld by God’s grace in my life. To those I know and strangers I’ve never met, thank you for your prayers, generosity, and concern,” Kim wrote in an emotional post on Instagram.

Unfortunately, the five-year-old didn't make it into the new year. In an emotional video, Paul Kim shared that his son died on Wednesday.

“We are so proud of him. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart as his dad, on behalf of my family, for all the ways you guys prayed and lifted us up during this time. This incredibly difficult, impossible time for our family. It's been the hardest thing I've ever been through in my life, and it continues to be.”

The Christian influencer added:

“As much as this time I just want to have privacy and have time to mourn with my family, I felt like I owed all of you an update, just out of gratitude. Micah is already in Heaven at work, seriously, so many testimonies, so many ways in which God is using the light in my five-year-old to truly save souls and change the world.”
