Sean Combs, a.k.a. Diddy, was given a verdict in July regarding his s*x trafficking trial, and he is to appear in court on October 3 for his sentencing. However, according to exclusive reports by TMZ, a day before, two new assault cases were filed against him by two individuals: Lakeisha Ward and Dejoan Bledsoe. Both individuals are being represented by Tony Buzbee.
According to the documents obtained by TMZ, Lakeisha revealed that she was drugged and s*xually assaulted during a pool party in 2018. She allegedly claimed that she had to sign an NDA before entering, and after a few drinks, she felt dizzy and needed to lie down. She added that as she was resting, Diddy entered the room and:
"climbed on top of her and penetrated her."
Bledsoe, on the other hand, allegedly claimed that he attended a party at the Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel in 2019. The reason behind his attendance is that Combs promised him a contract and an entry into the music business. Dejoan also claimed that he was drugged and was in and out of consciousness the entire night as he was being assaulted by the former rap mogul.
Both Lakeisha Ward and Dejoan Bledsoe are asking for compensation and punishment over the alleged s*xual assaults. TMZ has reached out to Combs' representatives but has not heard back so far.
Everything to know about Diddy's case before his sentencing
Diddy was convicted in July on two charges of transportation to engage in prostitution. However, he was acquitted on more serious charges, including s*x trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.
Diddy's sentencing date is on October 3. For those who are wondering if the rap mogul will serve prison time, there is a chance he might be there for a long time. Since he was convicted on two counts of the charge of transportation to engage in prostitution, he could face up to 20 years of prison time. Each charge carries up to 10 years in prison.
But Combs' team is fighting to decrease prison time to only 14 months. On the other hand, the prosecution team has been fighting for 11 years.
At the moment, Sean Combs is being imprisoned at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. He has been at the center for more than a year since September 2024.
Diddy's legal team revealed that the Bad Boy Records founder plans to make a formal statement in court (October 3). According to the court documents, he will make the speech:
"in the most dignified and respectful fashion possible."
His legal team has also requested that Combs be allowed to "receive non-prison clothing" to wear on Friday for his sentencing. They have requested:
"one button down shirt, one pair of pants, one sweater, and one pair of shoes without laces to wear to court."
With fresh assault lawsuits adding to his legal troubles, Diddy's upcoming sentencing on October 3 carries even higher stakes. While his team is pushing for a reduced term, prosecutors are seeking a much harsher sentence, leaving the rap mogul’s future hanging in the balance.
