Cassie Ventura was recently seen in New York wearing a grey top and white pants. However, what caught more attention was her baby bump. As per reports, Cassie is currently pregnant with her third child with her husband, Alex Fine.
She is also expected to testify in the sex trafficking and racketeering case against Diddy. Cassie previously filed a case against Diddy for abuse and trafficking.
This rare public appearance is gaining attention, especially since Cassie has been out of the public eye for some time now.
How long have Cassie Ventura and Diddy dated?
Cassie Ventura and Diddy dated for a period of eleven years. Their relationship reportedly started somewhere around 2007, after which the couple were seen at multiple events together, confirming their romance. As per the rumors, she was also once engaged to him. However, none of them confirmed it.
Later, Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy. Diddy initially denied Ventura's allegations of abuse. However, after a surveillance video from 2016 surfaced that showed him assaulting Cassie, he apologized on Instagram by writing,
"It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was fu*ked up. I hit rock bottom. But I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video."
After Cassie got the love and support on the internet, she posted a heartfelt note on Instagram that read,
"The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning. Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past. Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter seriously."
After the video went viral, Cassie Ventura's lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, also gave a statement to PEOPLE that said,
"The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light."
The opening statements of Diddy's federal trial for sex trafficking and racketeering are scheduled to begin on May 12 in Manhattan federal court.
