Cha Eun-woo's agency, Fantagio, has issued an apology after fans misdialed the official line given by his agency. The incident started after fans saw a post on his social media account uploaded by his agency on November 4. The post, along with revealing his number, read:

"Call me now, before the sound is gone""

The post was shared to promote his album, inviting fans to dial his number and hear a special recorded message from him. The recording, according to Chosun, says:

"How have you been? How do you like my album? Have you been thinking of me? I miss you."

This left fans excited, with many appreciating his effort to stay connected with them even while serving in the military.

However, the next day, his agency released an apology statement that the official number given on the post is the only one connected to the event line, and clarified that:

"Recently, some users have entered the number incorrectly, causing calls to be directed elsewhere. Please make sure to dial the correct number. We sincerely apologize to those who have been affected."

When did Cha Eun-woo start his military duty?

Cha Eun-woo started his military service in July this year. Speaking of the same in the YouTube livestream, he said:

"I will be back safe and healthy. I wish all the best for you all."

Since then, fans have occasionally spotted the actor in uniform through official updates. The actor and Astro's singer is also set to appear in the main role of the TV series The WonderFools, scheduled for next year's release.

Talking about the series, he said in a statement reported by Soompi:

"Every day, I become [my character] Woon Jung and put my heart into filming. You’ll be able to see a new side of me, so please look forward to it."

Reflecting on his career, he added:

"I’ve worked hard to do my best with every opportunity I’ve been given, and it’s amazing to think how much time has passed. I definitely feel like I’m gaining valuable experience. I always go to sleep grateful for being able to end each day well, and I hope tomorrow will be the same."

Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo's movie The First Ride is set to release later this year, giving fans something to enjoy even while he is serving in the military.

Cha Eun-woo is expected to complete his military service and return in 2027. Fans can also listen to his album ELSE, scheduled for release later this month.
