Jenner launched her beauty brand, Lip Kit by Kylie, on November 30, ten years ago, when she was seventeen. At that time, she only launched three lip kits, a kit comprising a lipstick and a lip liner, which sold out within minutes. After the major response from the fans, the brand changed its name to Kylie Cosmetics, and since then, she has also launched skincare, fragrances, and more.

Talking in the YouTube video "INSIDE KYLIE COSMETICS PART ONE: THE BEGINNING," Kylie revealed that:

"I had an insecurity with my lips. I would go to makeup stores at the mall and just find, like, lip liner that matched my lip color and just overline my lips. I became obsessed with makeup in general."

Kylie stated she had temporary lip fillers due to insecurity at a young age. The interview also showed Kylie's mother, Kris, revealing that:

"When we got our show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kylie was ten years old. What made it worse was all the bullying that she was at the other end of on the internet because that one thing that you don't want to shine a bright light on is the one thing that people start talking about. "
