Morgan Carey filed the lawsuit seven months ago in March after he discovered the YouTube video. It was posted by a user called Lambily, and the video was titled "Morgan Carey: A Deep Dive Into Mariah Carey's Disturbing Older Brother". The 35:20-minute-long video was posted nine months ago and has received up to 236K views. Lambily is a documentary channel with 11.5K subscribers.

According to the court documents, Morgan's latest lawsuit claims:

"..the individual identified as responsible for this video, one Lambily, is within the employment and control of Mariah, and the statements in it were made by her both personally through Lambily."

As mentioned, this was not the first time Mariah's brother filed a lawsuit against her. He first sued her in 2021, after her memoir was released. He sued because she defamed him in her book, accusing him of being violent.

What did the video Morgan Carey sued Mariah Carey for contain?

The 35:20-minute-long video began with Mariah's voice reading a passage from her 2020 memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey.

The description of the video reads:

"In this video we're taking a deep dive into the life of Morgan Carey, the older brother of pop singer Mariah Carey. From being involved in a 1980 murder case to exposing his sister's bipolar diagnosis, Morgan is no stranger to controversy."

The voiceover was a narration of an incident involving her brother, Morgan, and her father, Albert.

In the clip, she can be heard reading:

"It took 12 cops to pull my brother and father apart, and yet my mother trusted him the most. He'd become her strong man, her protector. Almost a father figure to her, a position that should never be filled by a son."

The video also contained clips of Morgan talking unpleasantly about his sister. He said:

"Mariah is someone who holds grudges and is not empathetic, is not compassionate, and sees the world only through the filter of her own ego, and it's tragic... The ego is so out of control that she feels like the rules of physics don't apply to her because she's Mariah Carey."
