US President Donald Trump called out Beyoncé and other celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey and Al Sharpton, to be prosecuted.
According to a report in The Nightly, Trump claimed that they were paid millions of dollars for endorsements during former Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign. He further stated that such payments are illegal under campaign finance laws and stated that by doing so, they broke the law.

President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social account on July 26, 2025, and wrote:
“Eleven Million Dollars to singer Beyoncé for an ENDORSEMENT (she never sang, not one note, and left the stage to a booing and angry audience!). Three Million Dollars for ‘expenses’ to Oprah, Six Hundred Thousand Dollars to very low rated TV ‘anchor,’ Al Sharpton (a total lightweight!), and others to be named for doing, absolutely NOTHING!”
He added:
“YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO DO SO. Kamala, and all of those that received Endorsement money, BROKE THE LAW. They should all be prosecuted!”

President Donald Trump called for a “ major investigation” into pro-Kamala Harris celebrity endorsements
This is not the first time President Donald Trump has raised his voice against the celebrities, claiming Kamala Harris allegedly paid them.
In March 2025, he had called for a “major investigation” into the celebrity endorsements received by Harris during her 2024 presidential campaign.

He shared a post on his social media, Truth Social’s account, and claimed,
“Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment. In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT’S NOT LEGAL! For these unpatriotic ‘entertainers,’ this was just a CORRUPT & UNLAWFUL way to capitalize on a broken system.”
A May 2025 report in USA Today indicated that Trump accused Harris of paying Beyonce $11 million for an "illegal" endorsement during the 2024 presidential campaign. The singer did support the former Vice President in October last year; however, there are no official reports doing the rounds that confirm that she was paid for it.
The report indicated that she also allowed Harris to use her 2016 song, “freedom” throughout her official campaign for the position of president. However, the report claimed that there was no evidence that Beyoncé received $11 million.
But, she did receive a payment of $165,000 for “campaign event production” to Parkwood Production Media, Beyoncé's entertainment company, as shown in the records of the Federal Election Commission.
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, has also denied claims made by Trump. In an Instagram post shared on November 2024, she wrote:
“So this has been flagged on Instagram as fake news and taken down. It's called False Information. Sadly other platforms with a lack of integrity still have it up. The lie is that Beyonce was paid 10 million dollars to speak at a rally in Houston for Vice President Kamala Harris.”
She added:
“When In Fact : Beyonce did not receive a penny for speaking at a Presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harrris's Rally in Houston. In fact she actually paid for her own flights for her and her team, and total Glam.”
So far, none of the celebrities called out by President Donald Trump have responded to the issue.
