"You know how many frogs I had to kiss to get to Selena?": Benny Blanco shares candid relationship lessons

Benny Blanco is all out expressing his love for fiancée Selena Gomez. In a recent interview with InStyle, the record producer spoke fondly of Selena by saying,

"And now I get to kiss her. It’s like my own little fairy tale I concocted."

The interview touched on different topics, from talking about his relationship with Selena to also talking about his mother, whom he considers his biggest role model. During the conversation, Benny Blanco said that understanding a woman is not a big deal, as they tell you what they want, and men only need to focus on that. He further added,

"I hope I know how to treat a woman by now! Like, you should always ask a woman what they wanna do. Don't always talk about yourself. Then you put it into practice… and you fu*k up so much, oh my God. You know how many frogs I had to kiss to get to Selena?"

Blanco quickly added,

“They were beautiful frogs!”

As per Blanco, his way of handling relationships comes from his mom’s advice, who taught him how women think and how to understand them better.

Benny Blanco gives advice to single women

While Benny Blanco is now engaged to Selena Gomez, in the interview, he made sure to remind single women not to settle for less than they deserve.

After talking about his mom, Blanco continued by saying,

"I know so many awesome women who are single. And it's like, how are they single? They’re 10 out of 10! But there are so many fu*kboys. Don’t settle, ladies. Not for some dude that uses more hair gel than you do."

The interview also touched on the topic of whether Benny Blanco has ever taken any help from a male figure to handle emotions better. He politely said no to the question by adding,

"But some things [I] learn from friends of mine. I see them do something stupid, and I'm like, ‘Oh my God, I'll never do that in a relationship.’ Then sometimes you see your friend do something rad, and you're like, ‘Ooh, I'm taking that little idea.’"

Additionally, he also mentioned in the interview that he wants to be a father someday and talked about his love for children.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco reportedly started dating in 2023 and got engaged in December 2024. They have also released an album together titled I Said I Love You First, which has fourteen songs.
