Based on the book by Lynn Povich, this drama examined the difference in the treatment of men and women in their workplaces. A group of female writers at a fictional news magazine are more talented than their male counterparts but are relegated to lower positions, paid less, and uncredited for their research. The show presented a very real problem that continues in contemporary times but was unfortunately canceled after one season.
