The second episode, 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing, aired on May 4, 2025, along with the third episode. Hosted by Michael Symon and Esther Choi, the show's latest episodes featured a series of challenges, including two guest judges.
The second episode featured a head-to-head battle between Stephanie Izard and Lawrence Smith. Fans witnessed both chefs skipping the competition during the first head-to-head battle. They opted for "breakroom" then, however, the latest episode featured an exciting battle between the two. While Izard won the Golden Knife, Lawrence Smith was eliminated from the second episode.
The second elimination was Laurence Louie. It happened after the next challenge, which was to prepare the best noodle dish. The twist was that participants had to prepare the "best" dish after tasting a noodle dish. They had to correctly guess the ingredients, apart from the traditional ingredients.
It was a blind taste after which chefs were to prepare their own noodle dish. After falling short in making the best noodle dish compared to the rest of the chefs, Laurence Louie was sent home.
Challenges featured on 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing episodes 2 and 3
The latest episodes of the Food Network show featured a few challenges, including making a fancy PB&J. It was between Stephanie Izard and Lawrence Smith. They were supposed to use three more ingredients apart from the main ingredients.
After that challenge, Smith was eliminated, and the show continued with 12 chefs. They advanced to the next challenge, where everyone blindly tasted a pasta. Their target was to reveal 7 ingredients out of the 12 total ingredients. The participants were then supposed to prepare their "best noodle dish" for the challenge.
As Izard had the Golden Knife, she was given one additional ingredient, which she took away from Lee. For the challenge, the main ingredients, including salt, pepper, olive oil, and butter, were not counted. Jonathon Sawyer won the challenge along with the Golden Knife and $2400.
Later on 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing, fans witnessed a three-course challenge featuring black-tie. Tournament of Champions' fame, Jet Tila, was the guest judge for that challenge. While the third episode did not feature any elimination, there were two eliminations from the show's second episode.
