Fallout Season 2 is less than a month away, and Prime Video has released a second trailer, giving us a sneak peek at the chaos and new mysteries that await. The series, created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, is based on the video game of the same name by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky. The story takes place more than two centuries after the Great War of 2077, when a nuclear disaster destroyed the world as we know it.

The latest Fallout Season 2 trailer reveals more of the upcoming civil war and character arcs that fans can't wait to see develop. But even with all the action, there are several details that you might not have noticed on their first watch.

3 things you may have missed in the Fallout Season 2 trailer

The story in the new season continues immediately after the events of Season 1. As the official logline states,

“The new season will pick up in the aftermath of Season One’s epic finale and take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas.”

While the Fallout Season 2 trailer gives us several hints, here are three that you might have missed:

1. Lucy finally gets to use the classic power fist

The first trailer of Fallout Season 2 confirmed that Lucy and The Ghoul are headed to New Vegas. Lucy is determined to track down her father Hank, while The Ghoul is focused on the search for his missing family, as we see him say in the second trailer,

“I've wastelanded for 200 years. I've kept myself alive for one reason… to find my family,”

One exciting moment you may have missed in the trailer is Lucy using a power fist, one of the most iconic weapons from the games. It has appeared in almost every Fallout game, and its inclusion in the show is a significant move, as it further solidifies the connection between the games and their fans. The trailer doesn’t reveal who gets hit with it, but it is obvious that it ends badly for whoever is on the receiving end.

2. Maximus battles a Deathclaw in the middle of New Vegas

Season 1 mentioned Deathclaws, but viewers never got to see one. In the new Fallout Season 2 trailer, Maximus is seen wearing NCR Ranger armour and wrestling a Deathclaw in the streets of New Vegas. It is a short moment, but it confirms that one of the deadliest creatures in the franchise is officially part of the show. The scene hints at an intense fight, even if the short moment in the trailer makes it a bit difficult to see clearly.

3. The Kings return, but as Ghouls

The Kings were introduced in Fallout: New Vegas as a faction inspired by Elvis Presley. They followed “The King” and protected their part of the city. But the Fallout Season 2 trailer shows that many of them have become Ghouls.

Instead of being regular humans as they were, several of them now appear as Ghouls. They also look far more aggressive. One quick shot shows Lucy shooting one of their heads off with a shotgun, suggesting that these Kings are much more dangerous than their game versions.

Fallout Season 2 premieres on Prime Video on December 17, 2025.
