Little Big Shots, the talk show where Steve Harvey interviews impressive young kids, came to Iain's stage when he was just 7 years old, as he took over Harvey's seat and ended up interviewing him. Iain was introduced as a 7-year-old theatre critic who had a YouTube channel where he talked about his favorite theatre shows since he was three years old.

The Young Sheldon star revealed in a conversation with Variety that he fell in love with theatre after watching Hairspray as a 3-year-old. Since then, he shared his theatre reviews on his YouTube channel and ended up being invited to Steve Harvey's Little Big Shots. On the show, after answering a few questions, Iain decided he wanted to interview Steve Harvey instead, and in a heartwarming move, exchanged his seat with Harvey and even pulled out cards similar to Harvey's.

Jim Parsons, in a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, revealed that he was extremely impressed by Iain's ability to stand out in a room when he first saw Iain's video audition tape. The audition even required Iain to do a William Shatner impression from the Star Trek series, which aired even before Iain was born. Nevertheless, Iain nailed that audition, ensuring he was the best choice for the role.

However, it might come as a shock to most that Iain managed to perfectly portray a younger version of Sheldon, even though he had never watched The Big Bang Theory.

"Well 'Big Bang...' isn't really appropriate for me, plus it's not really aimed at my audience level. So, I only watched a few clips, I haven't really watched 'Big Bang...', though I would love to see it."

Iain Hermitage had a lot of extra-curricular activities to keep him busy on the sets of Young Sheldon and even after the spin-off had wrapped. Iain revealed that he had an aviation hobby and even wanted to fly a plane solo on his 16th birthday. He did end up flying a plane that day, but it wasn't a solo ride, as his grandmother also joined him. Iain also enjoys collecting rocks as a hobby, as well as practicing magic.

If you thought the list ended here, it's just starting. The Young Sheldon star also happens to have a black belt in Taekwondo, which he earned after years of dedicated hard work.
