1. Charlie Hunnam’s sweet revenge
Charlie Hunnam arrives on The Graham Norton Show during the promotion of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword with Guy Ritchie. This happened in the show's Season 21, Episode 6, when Charlie Hunnam got an unexpected blast from the past during the Big Red Chair segment.
A man named Sebastian told a story about how he once stole the most popular girl at the school away from none other than Charlie Hunnam. The realization of this story dawned upon Hunnam, leading to an explosion of laughter from the audience.
Hunnam then got his revenge years later by gleefully flipping Sebastian backwards in the Red Chair.
2. Emma Stone’s Dirty Dancing disaster
Emma Stone, during the promotion of the popular film La La Land, alongside Ryan Gosling, visited The Graham Norton Show. She recalled her earlier collaboration with the actor, like Crazy, Stupid, Love and its famous Dirty Dancing lift scene. Stone then confessed that they had to actually use a body double because she was not confident about Gosling lifting her safely.
Later on, it turns out it was not Gosling but her own internalized phobia of being lifted, which stemmed from a childhood gymnastic accident where she broke her arms. Here, Gosling added the perfect punchline and recalled how he felt like she was about to "scratch his eyes out mid lift."
3. Mark Ruffalo roasts Josh Widdicombe
During the Avengers: Age of Ultron promo couch, Graham Norton asked guests Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, and comedian Josh Widdicombe to share their greatest fears out loud in public. At this moment, before Widdicombe could answer, Ruffalo blurted out:
“Girls over 12.”
The audience erupted with laughter while Ruffalo looked instantly embarrassed and horrified by the joke he made. He also acted as if he was leaving the show after shaking hands with Josh in apology. This led to one of the most chaotic and hilarious moments on The Graham Norton Show.
4. Jodie Whittaker’s tube platform mix-up
In this episode, Jodie Whittaker recalled how she was once standing on a Tube platform with a reusable coffee cup when an older man reached towards her. She assumed that the man had recognized her from her show Doctor Who and got annoyed when he actually explained that he thought of her as a beggar and was simply trying to slide in some currency.
The audience roared while Kevin Hart also came up with his perfect punchline, making the episode a memorable one.
5. Jamie Dornan Finally Learns to Walk
In another hilarious episode of The Graham Norton Show, Jamie Dornan admitted how his walks have always been strange. On the set of The Fall, one of the producers actually asked him if his bouncy walk was part of the character. That is when his wife encouraged him to work on it, and he discovered that he should walk from heel-to-toe.
He actually demonstrated his old walk and the new one, making the audience laugh and actually realize how a grown-up man learned to walk recently in his life.
