Weak Hero is a South Korean series directed by Yoo Soo-min, Kim Jin-seok, and Park Dan-hee. The show has an ensemble cast and stars Park Ji-hoon, Hong Kyung, and others. The action and thriller series is based on a Naver webtoon by Seopass and Kim Jin-seok. The show is one of the most popular South Korean series and is known for its intense fight scenes and action-packed stunts. The premise of the show focuses on Yeon Si-eun, who is a high school student interested in academics. However, when the bullies in his class begin to target him and the weaker students, he joins forces with Ahn Su-ho and others to take down all the bullies and their gangs. The show has two seasons, and here are 7 characters in the show who should not be messed with.
7. Choi Hyo-man

Choi Hyo-man is not a noble fighter, unlike the other characters in Weak Hero. Played by Yoo Su-bin, Choi is the leader of the delinquents at Eujang and is therefore a big bully in the high school. However, he only fought against those who were weaker than him. Therefore, Choi won most times in the fights. But that did not make him brave, as he asserted dominance only over the weaker people and stayed away from all those whom he considered a threat. Further, Hyo-man’s fighting skills are also average, and he is not a skilled fighter. In Weak Hero, Choi survives through manipulations and keeps the rest in fear. However, he does fear Si-eun and Park Hu-min, and even lost a fight against Si-eun, running away in fear. However, he does want to join the Union. In season 2, therefore, Choi finds a way of asserting some dominance; he manages to defeat several of Na Baek-jin’s men and thus proves that he can fight when it matters.
6. Geum Seong-je

Geum Seong-je is one of the most feared fighters in Weak Hero. He is anything but weak. Played by Lee Jun-young, Geum is Na Baek-jin’s second-in-command, but even Baek-jin is unable to control his ruthless need for bullying and fighting. Geum works like a leader of the pack and does not care who is in front of him. Also, since he was the second-in-command, he did most of the dirty work and reckless work for the Union. This is also the reason Geum Seong-jae is the Union leader at his high school. Geum has no worries in taking anyone down, and is therefore the perfect sort of leader for these kinds of activities. Seong-jae is violent and cruel, and when Eujang High School refused to join the Union, Geum and his band of warriors beat up the students there. Geum is, therefore, someone you do not want to come across in a fight. The leader of Gankhak High School can survive any fight, even though he does not have any combat training skills.
5. Yeon Si-Eun

Played by Park Ji-hoon, Yeon Si-Eun is one of those characters in Weak Hero who always tries to focus on his studies. He tried to stay out of fights and was not violent unless provoked. His biggest goal was to study hard, and therefore, when he gets into fights, Yeon uses his brain and mental power more than his physical power. As the saying goes, the pen is mightier than the sword for Yeon Si-Eun. Whenever he was cornered or attacked, Yeon Si-Eun used physics or psychology to defeat his opponents. He was not a naturally born or trained fighter, therefore, Yeon also used the means of throwing things or using his signature pen move to win a fight. While there were many times when Yeon’s retaliatory tactics of using his mental strength did not work because, at the end of the day, a fight does require physical strength, Yeon did not give up; he continued to fight when provoked, and he is therefore a diligent fighter in the series.
4. Go Hyun-tak

Played by Lee Min-jae, Go Hyun-tak is one of the righteous characters in Weak Hero. Not only is he one of the strongest fighters and characters in the show, but he is also a trained fighter, as he used to be an MMA fighter before he broke his knee and had to leave the sport. However, he joined basketball and stayed in shape through his workouts, and therefore reigns supreme as one of the top fighters in the show. Moreover, Hyun-tak is one of the few fighters who uses his powers for good and does not pick fights unless someone else is being bullied and he has no other option. Most of his classmates fear him, and he maintains a calm but stern presence over everyone. Like Si-eun, Hyun-tak does not like bullies, and he has engaged in some of the most exciting fights in the series when he decides to defend those who were weaker and being tormented. With a combination of his MMA skills and his friendship with Park Hu-min, Si-eun, and Jun-tae, Hyun-tak is a formidable character in the series who can take down anyone in the Union.
3. Ahn Su-ho

Another character in Weak Hero, who is an ex-MMA fighter, is Ahn Su-ho. Played by Choi Hyun-wook, Su-ho is one of the best fighters in the first season of the show. Most of the classroom bullies used to be intimidated by him, and because of his MMA skills, he could even beat older people easily. In season 1, Su-ho was the star of the show and delivered some of the most exciting fights. The only fight he lost was when he was ganged up on by a professional MMA fighter and his classmates. In the second season, Su-ho was in a coma for most of the series, and therefore, fans missed out on some of his most intense fights. However, Ahn is one of the most legendary and iconic fighters in the show, and he is only matched in fighting brilliance by Hu-min.
2. Na Baek-jin

One of the most feared fighters in Weak Hero, Na Beak-jin, is the leader of the Union and is a character who started as being bullied and weak, and soon became one of the most ruthless fighters. Even though it was Hu-min, who taught him how to fight against his bullies and protect himself, when the two were friends growing up, Baek-jin grew up to be a ruthless and cold fighter who does not care about what tactics he uses to defeat someone in a fight. He does not have morals and is extremely smart and clever. His character arc is one of the most interesting in the show as he grew up being the one who was bullied, to end up becoming the bully. Further, what makes him one of the top fighters in the show is his use of both brain and brawn. In a fight, Baek-jin can fight like Si-eun and use his knowledge of physics to overpower his opponent. However, he can also become like Hu-min and thrash people through his physical strength. It is only when he beat Hu-min and then Si-eun finished him off that he lost the right against Eujang High School.
1. Park Hu-min (Baku)

Played by Ryeo Un, Park Hu-min is one of the most talked-about characters in Weak Hero season 2. Viewers loved that he stood for what is right and is one of the only fighters who is so strong that he can stand up against Su-ho. When the moment comes to fight, Hu-min can take down anyone. However, during other moments, he also shares funny and comedic moments with Hyun-Tak, Si-Eun, and others. Like Su-ho was Si-eun’s closest ally and friend in season 1, so is Hu-min Si-eun’s best friend in season 2. Also known as Baku, Hu-min might have lost against Su-ho if he faced him in his peak condition, but since Su-ho went into a coma and lost his physical strength, it is now Hu-min or Baku who remains one of the strongest fighters in the show. Baku can single-handedly beat all the Union members in a Weak Hero season 2 flashback, which is testament to his strength.
