Pose is a humorous take on the ball culture in New York City. The TV show is centered on African-American and Latino LGBTQ individuals. The story is set in the 1980s and 1990s. The show's core premise is the vibrant, no-doubt ballroom subculture in which LGBTQ youngsters, primarily Black and Latin thrive. It showcased high-performance ball dance competitions.

Matt represents the wealthy establishment world that occasionally intersects with the ballroom community. Ryan Murphy is the genius who assembled an incredible cast, headlined by Billy Porter and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, to bring the series to life. The show celebrates the determination, strong spirits, and creativity of the ball scene, as well as identity, community, and survival. Van Der Beek contributes to the story's independence within the broader framework of New York culture and class, despite making most of his appearances in the first season.

This is a US comedy series created by Brandon Dermer and James Van Der Beek. It aired on Viceland and stars Van Der Beek as a fictitious version of Diplo, the Grammy-winning DJ and music producer who is part of Major Lazer and Jack U. The performance is an inside-joke-filled parody of the esoteric and often bizarre realm of electronic music. He not only acts, but is also involved with writing and creating the creative direction of the series. He studied the real-life performances and radio shows of Diplo to get his personality and aura in preparation for the role.

The show is based on a superstar DJ living an over-the-top lifestyle who does not escape problems in his wild life, despite its fundamental aspects. A ridiculous sense of humour combines with stinging commentary regarding fame, which is precisely what has caught the eye of many fans, highlighting the strength of the writing and the bold sense of humour. Van Der Beek demonstrates that he has the capacity to make fun of himself and still come up with something new and amusing.
