7 Most hilarious Kate moments from The Four Seasons
7) Kate gives Jack an overripe banana for his stress (Episode 2)
In episode 2 of The Four Seasons, after finding out about Nick thinking of divorcing Anne and later Anne throwing a surprise vow renewal event for Nick, the friends find themselves in a tough spot. They are not sure if they should tell Anne or wait for Nick, who is late and has no idea what is going on.
This situation stresses Jack out and affects his mental health. Kate reassures him that everything will be fine and that he should just rest and have a banana. She later pulls out an overripe banana from her tote bag to give it to him. Jack asks if this is the only banana, to which she responds with a yes. While they are going through a difficult situation, these little but hilarious moments between the pair make up for the grim environment.
6) Kate struggles to push a table with Claude’s assistance (Episode 2)

As the Lake house is being decorated for the event, Kate helps out as well and tries to push a table to readjust it. An overenthusiastic Claude sees this and asks if she needs help.
Kate feels grateful and says yes, but the situation turns hilarious when Claude doesn’t come to lift the table but just gives her instructions on how to lift it and where to place it. While Kate doesn’t say anything, her astonished expression says it all, which makes it one of the funniest scenes from The Four Seasons.
5) Kate tells Nick not to tell them about how great his new relationship is going (Episode 5)

In the episode titled "Family Weekend" in The Four Seasons, the friends meet again in the fall with Nick's new girlfriend, Ginny, in attendance and his ex-wife, Anne, as well. They go to Kate and Jack’s university, where their daughter Beth and Anne and Nick’s daughter Lila are now students. At first, Ginny’s appearance makes things awkward within the group.
However, later Nick notices that his daughter is warming up to his girlfriend, making him happy. He couldn’t hide his happiness and mentioned it several times when Kate told him off. She tells him that his mentioning his happiness about the situation is gross and they don’t want to hear it, to which Danny agrees as well.
4) Kate bugs Danny about having the heart surgery (Episode 2)
After finding out about Danny’s heart surgery from Claude and him lying to Claude about being out of town to skip having surgery. Kate asks him about having the surgery, to which he replies that he needs time to think about going through with it.
She asks again if he will have the surgery, and this time he explains how painful the surgery would be. He agrees but asks again, annoying Danny as he tells him to let him eat the sandwich in peace. The camaraderie between the two friends in The Four Seasons makes the scene more hilarious as they look comfortable, annoying, and even curse one another.
3) “I have the same information you have. I live with you.” - Kate (Episode 5)

As they wander around the town in episode 5 of The Four Seasons, around their alma mater, Jack complains about not finding his favorite burger shop. He tells the others that it was a great place and shares how disappointed he is with it not being there anymore.
He even asks Kate about when the place closed down, among other questions, to which Kate offhandedly replies with this dialogue to her husband. It’s Kate’s way of handling her over-inquisitive husband, and it is always funny.
2) “He’s being such a Zelig.” - Kate (Episode 3)

In their eco-resort vacation in The Four Seasons episode titled Eco Resort, Kate is appalled by Nick’s attempt to change himself to fit into his young girlfriend’s age group. He sounds more adventurous and is ready to live in the rustic setting of the resort, which is difficult for his friends.
After coming to their tent, Kate vents to her husband, Jack, about how Nick is changing his whole personality for a woman who is younger than him, making him a Zelig. A reference to the 1983 Woody Allen movie in which the protagonist tries to change his personality by copying stronger personalities around him to fit in and be liked by others. It is a hilarious comparison that describes Nick’s situation precisely.
1) Kate accidentally calls Ginny Beth, which is her teenage daughter’s name (Episode 3)
While they are chilling at the beach, Kate and Jack, perhaps unknowingly, embarrass Ginny. Kate tells Ginny that he should put some sunscreen on her shoulder and accidentally calls her Beth. Ginny jokingly asks Nick who Beth is and if she should be worried about it, to which Nick answers that it is just a very common name.
However, Claude blurts out that Beth is the name of Jack and Kate’s teenage daughter, who is very young and has a baby face. This makes Ginny and the others realize that it was about Kate thinking of Ginny as a young girl, just like her daughter, making Nick and Ginny’s relationship weird, which eventually changes during the course of the season of The Four Seasons.
