Announcing this year's nominations host, Chair Cris Abrego said in a statement:

He added:

Many of you might recognise Harvey Guillén from his role as Guillermo de la Cruz in FX's comedy series What We Do in the Shadows, which is also the actor's most notable role to date. Seeing him play the vampire's familiar in this comedy series, we are sure there will be enough laughs throughout the Primetime Emmy Awards nominations 2025 to get you through.
In addition, Guillén has also proven his acting talents in many other projects, including Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Harley Quinn, and Mickey Mouse Funhouse. He also appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2023.
