The hackers level up, and Blythe's life hangs by a thread in 9-1-1: Nashville episode 7
The seventh episode of 9-1-1: Nashville starts with Blythe finally regaining her consciousness. On the other hand, at the station, the news reveals the tornado signals, along with the other emergency signals that blared through Nashville, have been indicated by the mayor as a “glitch in the system”.
Cammie and Don are not satisfied with the blatant dismissal of the hack by the mayor. Cammie is worried about what would happen as the deadline to pay the ransom that the hackers have asked for is nearing with every passing moment. Don sends a voice note to Blythe to inform him about the situation. Blythe is trying her best to reach Don, but she finds that her phone is completely shattered.
She slowly tries to pull the barbed wire out of her hand so that she can reach safety. As she also hurt her ankle, she will not be able to walk to get to safety. Right then, her horse runs away, abandoning her. Back at the station, Edward arrives at Don’s office to speak about the situation. Edward is still persistent about his offer to fire Blue, to which Don indicates that he will be sending all the files to the press, which could completely ruin Edward.
However, Edward is adamant about not stooping in front of Don. As this episode of 9-1-1: Nashville continues, a team of experts arrives to discuss the cyberattack with the mayor. Don tells others that paying the ransom would be a better option to protect Nashville from the situation.
As this episode of 9-1-1: Nashville continues, Ryan informs the team that it has been decided that they will not be paying the ransom to the hackers; hence, they should be on high alert. Cammie begins to distribute phone books so that they are able to handle the case to some extent without any internet. Blue is asked to sharpen the tools.
Taylor helps him to do the sharpening properly, which Roxie notices. It can be understood that there are growing emotions between Blue and Taylor. The timer finally ends and gives a warning sign. The scene cuts to a boat sailing through the river, where the captain reminisces about his past, when the hackers hack the navigation tools of the boat and make the boat go fast. The boat begins to move towards the bridge on its way to crash into it. Cammie tries to help the passengers by calling Don and his team to help with the rescue.
Don and his team finally reach the boat using the speedboats. They try to help the passengers evacuate the boat before it hits the bridge and crashes. Cammie tries to clear the bridge so that if the boat hits the bridge, pedestrians are not affected. The captain finally regains consciousness and explains how to stop the boat.
After the efforts of the whole team, they are finally able to divert the boat from hitting the bridge. This episode of 9-1-1: Nashville continues with the hacker resetting the timer and increasing the ransom amount, indicating that the game has just started. Cammie gets questioned by the investigators, as she has the passwords to the system, and the breach started from there.
She is asked to do a polygraph test to prove her honesty. Don decides to look for Blythe as she is not picking up the calls. On the other hand, the mayor, while giving his speech to inform the Nashville citizens about the hack, loses consciousness and falls to the ground. While the mayor is getting treated by the first responders, more and more people begin to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.
They then realize that the hackers have attacked the implants that are connected to these people. Roxie then decides to disconnect the pacemaker so that the mayor can be saved. At the end of this episode in 9-1-1: Nashville, Don is finally able to find Blythe; however, Blythe’s condition deteriorates as she has already lost a lot of blood. Don decides to do a transfusion with his own blood and saves Blythe.
