In the fourth episode of 9-1-1: Nashville, Blue is faced with the challenge to prove himself to keep his new job. After his rescue mission pushes him to fame, he gets the attention of the chief. The chief calls Don to inform him that Blue needs to master the curriculum, which is definitely not an easy task.
As he keeps on practicing through the curriculum, Don’s whole team comes to his help. On the other hand, Blythe gets his private investigator to check on Blue’s mother. She finds out that Dixie might be up to something that might cause trouble for their family. She also finds out about Blue’s past. Initially, she gets worried about Blue’s true intentions because of his past case of extortion. However, she finds out through Cammie’s help that Blue was actually trying to help a person.
The episode ends with Blue struck by the information that Don might have known about his existence all along. He is completely shocked to find his childhood photos in an album in their house. Though he does not confront Don about it, it can be understood that things are going to get complicated between father and son moving forward.
