9-1-1 Season 8 was the most devastating season for the show, as it featured the death of the patriarchal figure in the team. Peter Krause's iconic character, Bobby Nash, who headed Station 118, died after he sacrificed himself to save the rest of his team. The rest of the episodes in Season 8 saw his crew trying to deal with the loss of their captain.
9-1-1 is all set to return with its ninth season on October 16, and most of the fans are not ready to witness their favorite show without the beloved captain in it. In a recent Instagram post from Kenneth Choi, who plays Howie, he posted a video of Krause juggling, leading to the comment section being filled with fans reminiscing about Nash's character and hoping for his return.
9-1-1 star Peter Krause is seen in an Instagram video before the Season 9 premiere

It will be devastating for fans to witness their favorite show without the beloved character Bobby Nash as the captain of the team. Peter Krause, who played Nash on 9-1-1, addressed the fans through a fun video on Kenneth Choi's Instagram. He is seen juggling in the video, and the caption reads:
"Peter Krause Sighting… he sends his [love]"
Krause sends all his love to the cast, the crew, and the fans as the new season prepares for the premiere. However, it didn't take long before the comment section was full of fans expressing their feelings over Nash's death and hoping it was all a dream and they could see him once again as the Captain.
9-1-1 will definitely have to earn back all the love that the fans have for the show after Nash's death. However, Krause himself has expressed how his character was built for the sacrifice that he makes. Being a first responder, Nash never thinks twice before jumping into a fire to save lives, and so, to sacrifice himself in order to save his crew from a deadly virus was a no-brainer for his character. In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Krause said:
"I've heard that many fans are upset by this loss and they have a right to be. It is a loss. That said, it was more than a bold creative choice on a bold show. Bobby Nash was written in sacrifice and he was built for this. First responders risk their lives on the job so that others can see another day. His story arc honors them. We at 9-1-1 salute all the incredible men and women who do these dangerous jobs and strive to keep us safe."
Even the 9-1-1 cast themselves are gripped with sorrow after Krause's exit from the show and have expressed all their love and gratitude for the 8 seasons that they got to work with him. Oliver Stark, who plays Evan "Buck" Buckley on the show, said:
"My Dear Friend Peter, we miss you at work with us every single day. You were, and will always remain, our leader always."
Kenneth Choi also took to his official X to tweet:
"Peter Krause, the classiest fella, most gifted of actors, and loveliest person on earth. THANK YOU, PK. Love You Pal"
Whatever path 9-1-1 Season 9 ends up on, one thing is for sure: Bobby Nash and his legacy will not be forgotten.
