Paradise Season 2 is set to be a much wilder and bonkers ride after Sterling K. Brown's comments regarding the return of one of the characters from Season 1. The first season, apart from the dystopia, the political thriller, and the personal drama, was a murder mystery where Sterling's Xavier, a secret service agent, tried to find out who murdered the former president of the United States.
Even though James Marsden's President Cal Bradford was dead by the first episode of Paradise, he continued to appear throughout the season via flashbacks. Since Xavier ends up untangling Bradford's murder mystery by the end of the first season, it was assumed that this was the last we would see of Marsden on Paradise.
However, in a recent conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Sterling revealed that Paradise Season 2 would see a bit more of Marsden. This reveal has led to theories regarding another fan-favorite character's return for the next season.
Is Marsden's Cal Bradford the only one we see more of in Paradise Season 2 after his death
James Marsden's President Cal Bradford's death was one of the most influential guiding plots for Paradise Season 1. Xavier uncovered several secrets about Sinatra, her silo, and the outside world while trying to untangle the president's murder mystery, setting the show up for another season. Even though the president was killed off by the end of the first episode, Marsden continued to make appearances through flashbacks and recollections, helping Xavier solve the mystery of his death.

By the end of the season, the murder mystery has been untangled, leaving the viewers to assume that this was the last we'd see of Marsden. However, Sterling debunked this assumption, stating that:
"No, we see a little bit more of Marsden. We get a chance to see him in different time periods. So it's nice. It's really cool."
Now that we have confirmation that one of the deceased characters from Season 1 will appear in Paradise Season 2, the next question that arises is, will another character share a similar fate?
Jon Beaver's Billy Pace was killed in the fourth episode of Paradise by none other than his own girlfriend, Jane, at Sinatra's behest. It was revealed in Paradise Season 1 that Sinatra was using Billy as a hitman to keep the secrets of the outside world. However, when he refused to harm Xavier or his family and was ready to expose Sinatra, she asked his girlfriend Jane to kill him, which she did, without any qualms.

Considering Masden is set to return in Paradise Season 2 after his death in Season 1, maybe Billy will also share the same fate. Jane and Sinatra's equation is going to be a parallel factor in Paradise Season 2 as Xavier is on his exploratory journey outside of the bunker.
By the end of the first season, Jane, being a psychopath and all, has turned the tables on Sinatra after she "saves her life" by only shooting her and not killing her as Xavier intended to. So, their story is going to take an interesting turn, and Billy's return to Paradise Season 2 in the form of flashbacks or recollections could play an important role in Jane's story.
Beaver, who plays Billy, in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, gave an ambiguous reply when asked whether we would see more of Billy, but the hopeful thing to note is that he did not deny the suggestion either:
"But they are already hard at work on some really excellent scripts for season two. And I can’t say word one about if you’ll see Billy again, because Dan does everything through time. He’s the master of it. You watched the president die in episode one, and then Marsden [who continues to appear in flashback scenes], in a lot of peoples’ views, is still one of the best parts of the show."
Only time will tell if such a thing will happen in Paradise Season 2.
