"A hopeless romantic": Married At First Sight star Jalyn opens up about her personality and approach to love

Married At First Sight Season 19 premiere featured Jalyn, a 27-year-old realtor and a cycle instructor.

For the fans who don't know, the reality show features singles getting married to a partner chosen by relationship experts. On their wedding day, they get to see and meet their partner for the first time.

For the current season, viewers will witness relationship experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Pia Holec, and Pastor Cal Roberson matching the potential couples.

One of the couples to be married, featured on the show, was Jalyn and Josh. While sharing about herself and the partner she was looking for, Jalyn noted that she was a "hopeless romantic."

"I'm like a hopeless romantic, and when I'm like in love with someone, I'll just do about anything," confessed Jalyn.

On the Married At First Sight Season 19 premiere, fans witnessed singles being matched with their potential matches. One of the participants on the show, looking for love, was Jalyn.

When asked the reason behind choosing to get married at "first sight, Jalyn responded that she was a hopeless romantic. She confessed to doing anything while being in love with someone.

In her audition tape, Jalyn talked about enjoying reality TV relationships and rom-coms, and that she got a lot from that.

"I really just take in like everything, and I'm looking for out of reality TV relationships or like rom-coms. My husband has to know that, and he has to love me through that (laughs)," shared Jalyn.

She talked about wanting to have a family and kids. Further, she mentioned that she was looking for her fairy tale ending.

Married At First Sight star also opened up about her family and noted that she was very close to them.

"Growing up, my dad played professional baseball. So, it was a lot of on-the-go life, and my parents were high-school sweethearts," said Jalyn.

However, Jalyn noted that they were never in love and that she had never seen them hugging or being affectionate to each other. She revealed that they stayed together for the children. After they were in college, their parents split ways.

"And they've had their ups and downs. But now, they're like, good. They're both single. And they've a good relationship. But, it's also shown me everything that I don't want," confessed Jalyn.

While the episode featured Jalyn and her background, simultaneously, her match, Josh, also opened up to the experts. The two had never met or seen each other. However, the experts noted that they were going to be great.
