As mentioned, Eddie in the show is the one struggling with alcoholism and guilt over an affair he had outside his marriage with Katharine. Additionally, he is portrayed as a former rock musician who eventually chooses to be a music teacher and a stay-at-home dad. The guilt of his mistake has shadowed his determination to be a good husband and father to her son, Theo, which is eating him up.

David Giuntoli is best known for starring as Detective Nick Burkhardt in the NBC fantasy drama Grimm (2011–2017).


Grace Park plays Katherine Kim

Katherine is Eddie's wife, played by Grace Park. She is going through the betrayal Eddie has caused her with his affair. Katherine is presented as a sharp and ambitious woman, navigating the challenges of co-parenting along with her demanding job and emotional fallout.

Rome is a filmmaker who is battling depression and questions his purpose in life. Though he is warm and funny is also highly vulnerable. He is married to Regina and is wrestling with career choices and the complexities of starting a family.

Romany shared credits on Weeds as Conrad Shepard and in the film The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005).


Christina Moses plays Regina Howard

Christina Moses plays Rome’s wife, Regina, a talented chef with a dream of having her own restaurant one day. However, her family's financial struggle is becoming an obstacle to realizing her dream. She is questioning if her life will move on, and she will be able to be a mother, while Rome's depression is also impacting her journey. Moses is praised for her role as Keelin Malraux in The Originals and as Tara in The Flash.


Along with these characters, Allison Miller plays Maggie Bloom and James Roday Rodriguez plays Gary Mandez. Maggie is a therapist who joins the friend group after meeting Gary. She is also a breast cancer survivor and is compassionate and treating others with kindness and love. On the other hand, Gary is humorous, but deep beneath is dealing with the aftermath of surviving testicular cancer. This is how both bonds with each other, and he becomes the central romantic interest of Maggie.

Alongside them is Stéphanie Szostak as Delilah Dixon, the widow of Jon Dixon, played by Ron Livingston, who takes his life. She is dealing with grief and is also burdened with the responsibility of raising her children. This worsens when she learns about Jon's scandal and suffers the fallout of his secrets.
