Ahead of the June 25 release of The Bear season four, FX Networks and Hulu dropped a thirty-second trailer to give the audience a glimpse of the upcoming installment of the show. The trailer quickly goes to work establishing the highly dramatic tone of the show.

All the restaurant members, including Carmy and Sydney, are quickly introduced in their own element. Richie is seen trying his best to be presentable as the chief steward. However, he soon ends up fumbling. Towards the end of the trailer, Uncle Jimmy ominously declared that they need to cease operations until everything is in order at the restaurant. This could possibly refer to the underlying conflict that would drive all the drama in the upcoming season.

As per the official synopsis of the upcoming season:

"With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust, and overcome. This season, the pursuit of excellence isn’t just about getting better – it’s about deciding what’s worth holding on to.”

The third season ended abruptly with a massive cliffhanger as Carmy and the other chefs eagerly awaited a revered food critic's remarks about their cuisine. This was a matter of life and death for their newly revamped restaurant since positive reviews could land them a lot of popularity, while negative feedback would end up killing them in the crib.

Christopher Sorer opens up about the show's authenticity

The reason behind this Hulu show's soaring popularity is the realistic depiction of the hospitality industry in general and the restaurant business in particular. Creator Christopher Storer opened up on this note during an exclusive interview with Esquire magazine. He remarked:

"It has to show how hard it is. Not only from a skill level. But—it’s a hard business, man. There’s something about restaurants that seems untenable from the jump. Even when they’re busy, I can’t help but think, “This seems impossible. This just seems like at any minute this is going to collapse. And you’re a genius, you’re the best at this, and this still seems rickety and crazy.” When you see these restaurants that have been open for twenty years or thirty years, I don’t know how anyone does it."

The Bear season four drops on June 25.
