The new season of the long-running TV show features beloved tutors as they navigate through the entertaining world of teaching at a public school. There is humor coupled with heart. The first episode of this season dropped on October 1. The second episode will drop on October 8.

There will be a weekly gap between each episode. It will undoubtedly raise the anticipation for every episode. Fans were eagerly waiting to binge-watch this season. However, this new weekly drop schedule changes all the plans of binge-watching. It will take much our patience to wait for a whole week for the new episode to release. With multiple Emmy nominations, Abbott Elementary proved the show's quality. With the first episode already out, the viewers can understand that this new season will be a bit different. It is all about making the teachers’ lives a little more complicated in a fun way. The third episode of Abbott Elementary Season 5 will release on October 15, 2025.

This weekly release is undeniably a bit frustrating. Yet it cannot be denied that it will also increase the enjoyment of finally getting the dose of entertainment once a week. It will increase the level of eagerness, making the experience even more wholesome.

The first episode of Abbott Elementary Season 5 begins with a humorous twist. There is the arrival of a new teacher, Dominic Clark. Dominic’s arrival is initially not taken well by Janine because of her concerns. She was worried about Barbara. On the other hand, Melissa finally gets the opportunity to teach the sixth grade. It is quite a jump for her.

She is eager to step into this new venture. How she will navigate through this new aspect of her life would be intriguing to watch in the next episodes. Ava and O’Shon’s story is also moving forward fully. Janine is also quite eager to become Dominic’s mentor. She was once his teacher while he was in kindergarten. Hence, seeing the two bond over the next episodes, diving into how far they have come, would also be a visual treat.

It would be interesting to see how the characters take on the challenges as the first episode starts with a promising plotline. The manner in which this series handles the humor and the storyline is truly surprising that the series did not win any Emmys. The fifth season will have 22 episodes; hence, it will take quite a long time for the season to end with the weekly release schedule. The episodes will be airing on ABC at 8:30 PM E.T.
