Acapulco Season 4 Episode 5 recap: Esteban’s investigation leads to a surprising discovery

Acapulco Season 4 episode 5 takes the audience through the quirky accounts set against the backdrop of the opulent Las Colinas resort, Mexico.

Máximo Gallardo’s stories from his younger days brings forth the multifarious themes of aspiration, love, family and friends. Máximo and Alejandro Vera want to ensure the resort’s success but are forced to face stiff competition from a rival resort. Vera could very well be the reason why they may fall short and Esteban’s investigations into Juan’s death will uncover something he never anticipated.

Acapulco Season 4 episode 4 titled ‘Higher Love’ brought forth one of the more surprising revelations.

The success of El Alma del Mar is largely because of the involvement of Don Pablo. At the same time Esteban and Nora seem to have stumbled upon some new information while investigation Juan’s death.

Juan’s daughter is now a suspect!


Nora and Julia are at odds in Acapulco Season 4 episode 5

In Acapulco Season 4 episode 5 titled ‘In the Air Tonight’, the painting work at Las Colinas has concluded. The resort’s pink hue is what makes it stand out. But out comes another revelation as we go back to 1986!

As Máximo and Julia start a new life together, Nora decides to keep up with her son’s life. Julia is infuriated at the invasion. Meanwhile the Las Colinas owner will reveal the idea of selling the resort in parts. However, they learn from Chad about Don Pablo’s role in the success of El Alma del Mar.


Esteban makes an alarming discovery

Acapulco Season 4 also delves into the investigation and Esteban’s plan to draw in Dalia. His obsession with Juan’s case even baffles his partner. On the other hand, Julia has had it with Nora. Julia tells her that Máximo is grown man, capable of handling his own responsibilities.

Máximo along with Chad and Vera are desperate to get Las Colinas to do well and decide to meet Don Pablo. Vera uses incentives to get his attention, but Don Pablo vehemently refuses.

Anxious to get Don Pablo on board, Vera asks the HOO to use his relationship with him to nudge the old man to take a back seat. Máximo is not happy with the idea. When Nora and Julia get into a spat about who will host a celebratory dinner for Sara’s acceptance into Gurrerense University, Máximo suggests that they both do it together and even decides to have Don Pablo over.

While Dalia is speaking to Esteban about her father’s bills, he records her secretly. But he gets nothing on her as she was at a concert on the day Juan died. But the shocking twist comes when he learns that Juan had peanut allergy. Esteban comes to the realization that probably his mother, Doña Rosita, could have caused the death by adding a lot of peanuts into the romeritos that Juan had before he died. Esteban feels responsible for the death of his neighbor.


When secrets come out in the open in Acapulco Season 4 episode 5

Sara tells Aída secretly that she got into New York University but is doubtful that her family can finance her dreams, which Doña Rosita overhears. When Don Pablo’s comes for the family dinner, things are tense. Don Pablo shares that after assisting the resort for 40 years, Vera had let him go and he holds it against him. Don Pablo emphasizes that he will not leave El Alma del Mar.

Towards the end of Acapulco Season 4 episode 5 things turn chaotic as Julia and Nora get into an argument about the fruit basket the later had got. And suddenly the cat’s out of the bag and everyone starts revealing their secrets. Sara shares that she wants to move to New York, despite Nora’s disapproval. The whole place erupts with loud disagreements, suddenly Esteban, who had been worried about Juan’s death, collapses.
