Adam Scott returns to comedy with new cast members in Netflix animated series Strip Law

Strip Law, starring Adam Scott, is an upcoming Netflix adult animated series that will be released on February 20, 2026. The show is created by Cullen Crawford and will follow a lawyer who tries to make his job interesting by seeking help from a magician.

The logline for the show, according to Tudum by Netflix, is:

Uptight lawyer Lincoln Gumb is too boring to win cases in Vegas –– until he teams up with local magician and hedonist Sheila Flambé to bring some flash and pizzazz to the stupidest cases the city can throw at them.

About Strip Law

Strip Law is one of the many adult animated comedies coming to Netflix soon. The other adult animated comedies coming to Netflix are Fixed, Long Story Short, Haunted Hotel, and Mating Season.

Strip Law has been created by Cullen Crawford, who is also known for being a writer on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Star Trek: Lower Decks. As What's On Netflix reports, Crawford spoke about the show in a statement, saying,

"Getting to make this show with a metric ton of geniuses has been my favorite thing I’ve ever gotten to do. I hope people find watching Strip Law to be the joyous chaotic distraction from our grim reality that making it was for me -and also, that I live to be one thousand years old.”

Crawford also serves as an executive producer along with Steven Fisher, Trevor Engelson, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina, and Antonio Canobbio. The Prynoski siblings, Kalina and Canobbio, are executive producing for Titmouse Inc.

The show stars Adam Scott, Janelle James, Stephen Root, Shannon Gisela, and Keith David in lead roles. Adam Scott is known for playing Ed Mackenzie in HBO's Big Little Lies and more recently for playing Mark Scout in Apple TV's Severance. James is widely popular for playing Principal Ava Coleman in Abbott Elementary.

Stephen Root is known for his roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), Robocop 3 (1993), Office Space (1999), Finding Nemo (2003), King of the Hill (1997–2010, 2025–present), Barry (2015-2023), and Heads of State (2025). Shannon Gisela, who is also part of the main cast, is known for her roles in Tacocunr (2025), Chasers (2025), and Takeout (2024). Gisela is also set to appear in M.I.A., created by Bill Dubuque.

Keith David is a widely celebrated actor who has played over four hundred roles across various media. He is best known for his performances in Platoon (1986), Armageddon (1998), and American Fiction (2023). He has also starred as Elroy Patashnik in Community, Andre Curtis and The President in Rick and Morty (2015–present), and Husk in Hazbin Hotel (2024–). David has also been selected to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2026.
