The first episode of the new season, The Hare and the Sprout, came out on Thursday, October 23, 2025. The rest of the nine episodes are going to be released on HBO Max on subsequent Thursdays, and the season finale is scheduled to air on December 25, 2025. At the same time, Fionna and Cake are trying to figure out their lives in their own world. They have some new problems and adventures to face as they continue their journey. As per the official synopsis of the Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake Season 2:

The main cast members are reprising their voice roles in the second season. Madeleine Martin returns as Fionna Campbell, Roz Ryan as Cake the Cat, Tom Kenny as Simon Petrikov, and Kayleigh McKee as the Scarab. Ashly Burch has joined the show as Huntress Wizard.

There are a few cast changes as well. Kris Kollins voices Marshall Lee in Season 2, replacing Donald Glover. Harvey Guillén plays Gary Prince in place of Andrew Rannells, and Kumail Nanjiani stars as Prismo after replacing Sean Rohani.
