ABC's 9-1-1 will see Corinne Massiah and Elijah M. Cooper as series regulars in the upcoming Season 9. Massiah portrays May, the older daughter of Athena Grant (played by Angela Bassett), while Cooper plays her younger sibling Harry.

In the last season of 9-1-1, the audience bid farewell to Athena’s husband Captain Bobby Nash (played by Peter Krause), and it looks like the children will be stepping in to fill the void.

ABC’s hit drama series 9-1-1 follows the stories of first responders in Los Angeles as they navigate through the many challenges in their professional and personal lives. The series is created and executive produced by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear. Season 9 of the drama series is slated to premiere on October 9, 2025, on ABC.

Corinne Massiah and Elijah M. Cooper’s roles in 9-1-1

In Season 8 of 9-1-1, Bobby Nash died in a shocking event, leaving the audience outraged. As the season came to an end, we found the family and friends mourning the death of their beloved hero. In Season 9, Massiah as May and Cooper as Harry will be seen mourning the death of their stepfather as they take on new responsibilities.

Corinne Massiah had a recurring role in Season 1 but was promoted to series regular from Season 2 to Season 5. However, Massiah took a step back from her role to attend college and only appeared occasionally on the series. Now she is back on the show as a regular cast member. Massiah has also appeared in other projects such as Secrets and Lies, and Mistresses.

Meanwhile, before Elijah M. Cooper took over as Harry Grant, Marcanthonee Jon Reis portrayed the role from Season 1 to Season 5. Harry was a recurring character on the series during the time. Cooper appeared on the show in a recurring role in Season 7 and will appear as series regular in Season 9. The young actor is also known for his roles in Goosebumps and All American.

9-1-1 Season 9 will premiere on ABC on October 9, 2025. The season will comprise of 18 episodes.
