After Yellowstone feud with Wes Bentley, Kevin Costner reportedly faces Hollywood fallout - here's everything to know

The recent years have not been favourable for Kevin Costner, the Yellowstone star. Recently, reports arrived that he was involved in a feud with another Yellowstone cast member.

This feud, which also involved physical altercation to some extent, was crucial for the exit of Kevin Costner from the show. The Hollywood Reporter was informed by an insider of the show about the whole issue. The insider also provided the details about how Kevin Conster is facing a fallout because of his past actions.

Kevin Costner’s sudden departure from the show raised quite a concern amongst the fans of the show. Through the seasons, Kevin Costner’s presence was crucial in the storyline of the series. However, an insider provided some intriguing insights about the whole issue.

The insider revealed that Costner’s feud with Wes Bentley was related to the script. Costner wanted to make some changes and wanted Wes Bentley to follow them. However, Wes Bentley refused to do so, which Kevin Costner did not like. He then “lunged” towards Wes Bentley, and they had a heated altercation. Though there were no fistfights involved, it was quite troublesome for the crew, according to the insider.

The crew had to shut down the production for some time after the altercation began between the two stars. Right after the feud between the two Yellowstone stars, many people from Hollywood reportedly also pointed out some negative traits that Kevin Costner possesses, for which they would prefer not to work with him in the future. Hence, the Yellowstone star might be facing quite some trouble with Hollywood.

Recently, he also faced a sexual harassment lawsuit from a stunt performer, Devyn LaBella. However, his lawyer pointed out that the claims of the lawsuit were a “shakedown”. Costner himself added that the claims were a “bold-faced lie”. He also added that LaBella wanted “to damage” his “reputation”. Before Costner’s return for the fifth season, during the negotiations, Costner’s expectations were not met. It is reported that he claimed a $10 million bonus along with script approval. However, all these expectations were rejected, which is why he left the show to focus on his passion project.

Though there are many indications about a rift between Costner and the Yellowstone creator, Taylor Sheridan, the creator himself put it all to rest, saying he never “had an issue with Kevin”. Kevin Costner’s former agent also spoke up about the issue. Rick Nicita, Kevin Costner’s former agent, said Costner has a “firm belief in himself” and has “confidence”, which might come out as “arrogance” to some.

Though Costner has faced a lot of backlash in recent years, it cannot be denied that he is truly a talented actor. For decades, his works proved his versatility. He definitely has his own creative vision; however, prioritising it over the schedules and demands of a big show like Yellowstone can definitely cause trouble.

Kevin Costner’s newest passion project, Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1, for which he truly worked hard, did not do well at the box office. The movie received only $38.7 million worldwide and also got mixed reviews from viewers and critics. The second part of the movie was filmed right after the first one.
