Agatha All Along proved that witchcraft, chaos, and character renovation can blend into a wholesome tale and entertain fans even after the show ended. Marvel Cinematic Universe delivered an astounding, glorious package of witchcraft, character, and chaos in its 2024 ministries.

Fans remember the show for the iconic, sharp one-liners and the unpredictable powers of Billy. The series had woven in hypnotic theme tunes that added to the spellbinding blend of humor and horror.

But beneath all the theatrics lay a treasure trove of Eastern eggs that keeps fans hooked for more. Starting from callbacks aimed at WandaVision to subtle nods at Marvel’s legacy, here’s a breakdown of the Easter eggs and references you might have missed:

Agatha All Along: Every Easter egg you missed in the series

1. Comic-book-accurate Agatha appears

Harkness reappears to Wiccan as an apparition in Episode 9 with a look that matches her comic book appearance. In the comics, Agatha Harkness, one of the first witches from the Salem trials, has been visualized as a woman with silvery white hair. When Agatha appears to Wiccan, her face looks aged, and her hair appears whitened with age.

The spectral robe’s design is a very gentle nod to WandaVision, a detail that fully establishes her as the wizened comic witch. She is both the guiding force and an expert manipulator.

2. VisionQuest tease at the show’s final episode

The series, in its 8th and 9th episodes, bid a wholesome goodbye to the show. Just before the curtains on the season fall, during the witches' trial, Billy and Agatha decide to find Tommy.

Naturally, the most probable conclusion coming out of this subtle tease is another Marvel cinematic addition to the already expansive universe. The Easter egg gives fans a reason to believe that the story isn't over yet.

Now that VisionQuest is arriving, the finale makes all the more sense.

3. The ‘M’ easter egg and Scarlet Connection

Marvel fans know that behind the colorful pages of Marvel comics and the vibrant shows that bring characters to life, fan theories quietly grow popular. One such theory is that the Teen is Billy. It all starts when he tries to state his name, but a glamour resembling an "M," covers his mouth.

What ties the connection is in the comics: Billy and his brother, Tommy, were Wanda’s lost sons, later reincarnated in new families (Billy as Billy Kaplan). Billy later became Young Avenger Wiccan, with magical abilities like his favorite avenger, Scarlett Witch.

4. The amulet in Episode 3

A key Easter egg in the show is found in episode 3 when the coven’s walk warps their appearance at the beach house. Following this, Alice immediately enquires, "Where’s my amulet?".

This line reveals a fundamental rule of the magical world of witchcraft: every witch, including Agatha (in Episode 1, we see her locket), depends on a personal amulet to be able to unleash her magic. While it is only a fan theory, it is clear from the coven's desperation for the amulet that it matters greatly for the titular character.

5. Costumes steal the show

The show uses a brilliant storytelling technique, bringing freshness to the series. Every detail, including Agatha's and Billy’s, are perfectly chosen.

They subtly mirror each other, a fragment of their shared pasts in the MCU. Agatha’s costumes slowly evolve from layered, dull-toned robes into deeper, stormier hues. This change is a reflection of the change in her character.

Billy’s costumes are more like a very gentle homage to his mother, with the bright reds woven into his blues.

6. Mephisto's appearance

Marvel has created many powerful villains. But Mephisto is not just another villain but a devil figure. We never saw him in WandaVision (where many fans expected his appearance as he was connected to Scarlet Witch and her twins, Billy and Tommy).

Jennifer establishes this link by telling Teen the missing boy could be "dead, or a demon, or an agent of Mephisto." This ties into the Marvel comics as Wanda traded parts of her soul for her sons.

7. Episode 1: The nosy neighbor

When Wanda Maximoff’s enchantment breaks, Harkness finally faces Westview resident Herb, who states that she has been his neighbor with "loose boundaries" for the last three years.

The witch responds with a fierce comeback: “Don’t call me nosy,” or she will cut out his tongue. This apparently simple threat is a cleverly put callback to the "nosy neighbor" role Wanda's brainwash spell had assigned to Agatha in WandaVision.

8. The necklace Agatha finds

Harkness stumbles upon a necklace on a corpse during her time operating as a cop in the woods. This apparently minor detail has layers of importance. With the help of a seasoned jeweller, it is soon revealed that the carved figures are of the Triple Goddesses (the Mother, the Maiden, and the Crone).

What's amazing about this Easter egg is that the titular character's mother, Evanora, wore this same necklace before her death at the hands of the Purple Witch, as established in the WandaVision flashback.

On top of it, the locket concealing a piece of hair suggests a possible link to Nicholas.

These major Easter eggs from the expansive world of Agatha All Along not only add more depth to the show's narrative but also fuel fan excitement by connecting the dots towards the bigger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Given the franchise's expansive history, these eggs capture only so far as there are a plethora of missed details lying in plain sight for comic lovers to decode.
