Before the Season 2 premiere, Percy Jackson & The Olympians Season 3 began production in early August 2025. The Disney+ fantasy television series, which is based on Rick Riordan's books, was renewed for Season 3 back in March 2025, months before Season 2's premiere set for December 2025.

As per TV Insider, production of Season 3 is officially on as of August 8, 2025, in Vancouver, British Columbia, with the working title "Mink Golden." Shooting is set to run until March 13, 2026. This early filming is an indication of Disney's determination to adhere to a regular release pattern for the hit series, which adapts the third book in the series, The Titan's Curse.

Early renewal and production schedule

Renewal for Season 3 of Percy Jackson & The Olympians in March 2025 was decided well before the premiere of Season 2. This is rare in the industry but shows the positive reception and faith from Disney and the creators.

It also enabled the production crew to prepare and begin filming for Season 3 early on, bypassing delays that usually come about due to delays in evaluating earlier seasons' performance.

The shooting schedule for Season 3 is relatively more extensive than that of Season 2's filming schedule. While Season 1 was filmed over approximately eight months and Season 2 over five months, Season 3 is to be filmed in approximately seven months.

The longer schedule is perhaps because the storylines in The Titan's Curse are more complicated, and other logistical considerations with the cast.

Filming location and dates

Similar to past seasons, production for Percy Jackson & The Olympians Season 3 is also being done in Vancouver, British Columbia. Production had commenced as of August 8, 2025, and is set to conclude on March 13, 2026.

Vancouver has been the constant location of production for the show, most probably for its production facilities and ideal locations for the mythological and contemporary mixture needed by the series.

Story adaptation and cast of Percy Jackson & The Olympians

Season 3 of Percy Jackson & The Olympians will be based on the third book of Rick Riordan's series, The Titan's Curse. The season features fresh obstacles and characters for Percy and his friends, picking up where earlier seasons left off.

The main cast, Walker Scobell plays Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, will likely be back. The program remains true to the source material, which has been one of the reasons for its successful reception.

Production challenges and timelines

The production schedule of the show seeks to counter issues that previous seasons suffered from, including waiting times between season renewals and shooting, which resulted in issues such as actor aging inconsistencies with the story timeline. An earlier start for Percy Jackson & The Olympians Season 3 prevents this by reducing the waiting time between filming seasons.

Post-production will be rigorous, particularly for the special effects-laden shots of the "junkyard of the gods" and sky-holding scenes, all of which are part of Percy's storybook challenges. Without the longer production schedule, the production pipeline will require streamlined processes to make the show ready according to the projected release window late in 2026.

Anticipated release and future projections

Following past trends, if the production is completed by March 2026, Percy Jackson & The Olympians Season 3 might be released in December 2026, following the release pattern of the past seasons. The release of the third season in December will tie in with the winter theme of the tale and the schedule Disney+ has kept since the show's start.

Audiences can expect the Percy Jackson saga to continue in Season 3, which will be taking on The Titan's Curse, continuing the momentum and production quality of the series through a well-planned shooting schedule.
