Only Murders in the Building is returning for its fifth season on 9th September 2025. The upcoming season will investigate the murder of Arconia's doorman, Lester, who, at the end of season four, was found dead in the building's courtyard fountain.
As we get closer to season five's premiere, the show has announced on X that they are launching a podcast called The Only Murders Official Podcast, which will discuss each episode of season five in detail with members of the cast and crew.

The podcast will be hosted by Michael Cyril Creighton, who plays Howard Morris in Only Murders in the Building. A fun part about this new development is the fact that the show gets its title from a fictional podcast hosted by Oliver, Charles, and Mabel. The trio not only solves the murders that take place in their building, but also records all the details and developments in the cases for their podcast.
After each episode of Only Murders in the Building season five is released, a podcast episode hosted by Michael Cyril Creighton will unpack the episode and all the behind-the-scenes details. These podcast episodes will include guests who are the cast and crew of the show, including Jane Lynch who plays Sazz Pataki, Jackie Hoffman who plays Uma Heller, Teddy Coluca who plays Lester, among others.
