Netflix has announced that, aka Charlie Sheen, will premiere on the streaming platform on September 19, 2025. The docuseries will feature two episodes, which will be dropped at the same time. Each episode will be 90 minutes long, taking the total length of the series to 180 minutes.

Who is going to feature in the docuseries?

Charlie Sheen will be opening his heart out in front of the cameras for the documentary. He will bear it all: from the details of his unconventional upbringing to his public feud with the team of Two and a Half Men.

Other people who are featured in the series include Sheen’s Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer, his ex-wife Denise Richards, his close friend and renowned actor Sean Penn, his older brother Ramon Estevez, his third ex-wife Brooke Mueller, his former co-star Chris Tucker, and Two and a Half Men producer Chuck Lorre.

The project is directed and produced by Andrew Renzi, who previously worked on Paul American, Pepsi, Where's My Jet?, and The Curse of Von Dutch: A Brand to Die For. Talking about why he decided to make the documentary, Renzi said in an official statement:

“A guy like him has a lot to offer the world with that story. A lot of times we are scared of hearing from people who have done things we might not agree with, when in reality we should be listening to them. Who better to reveal these kinds of things and to talk about these missteps? I find that to be a beautiful arc.”
