Prime Video's Reacher TV series is so popular among fans that even ten seasons wouldn't be enough for them. It features Alan Ritchson in the iconic role of Jack Reacher, and follows the narrative penned by acclaimed author Lee Child in his books.

However, Amazon does have creative liberty when it comes to making the series. The makers are expanding the universe with an upcoming spin-off, Neagley, focused on Frances Neagley and promises a fresh story.

While the spin-off isn't based on any book, fans are curious to know which book Season 4 will adapt. Interestingly, the fan-adored actor recently shared glimpses into the behind-the-scenes from both the Reacher Season 4 and Neagley, hinting which book is next in line.

In the caption of one photo, he made a bold statement: he’s already preparing for season 4, and it’s going to be an incredibly intense season, unlike the previous ones. Alan Ritchson wrote:

"Season 4 is going to be the most intensely physical season yet. My body is ready."

So, could Die Trying be the book behind Reacher Season 4? While all three seasons are action-packed, Lee Child's Die Trying is among the books that are popular for their physically demanding action.

Alan Ritchson’s BTS tease suggests Reacher Season 4 could tackle Die Trying

Prime Video has experienced the triumphant success of all three chapters of the Reacher TV series, and now fans are gearing up for another action-packed ride in Season 4. In the same Instagram post, Ritchson mentioned:

"Season 4 is right around the corner and dare I say… May be the best season yet?"

While he didn’t reveal which book Season 4 is based on, his behind-the-scenes reveal offers some clear hints. As mentioned above, Alan Rirchson stated that Season 4 is the "most intensely physical season yet", which hints at Lee Child's Die Trying.

This book is quite intense, as Jack goes through a lot. He's injured, tied up, constantly watched, and still has to outthink and overpower trained militia members. He gets no rest, no help, and is often outnumbered.

Despite these challenges, Jack continues the fight using his mental sharpness and brute strength. So, Die Trying undoubtedly tests his physical and mental limits.

In one of his interviews, Alan Ritchson shared that he really liked Child's Die Trying, and would love to see that story unfold in his TV series. The actor shared:

"My favorite book is Die Trying. I would love to see that happen. And so far, there’s been a lot of discussion about whether or not we should or should not. I guess we’ll see what the future holds. I’ll find a way."

The novel came out in 1998 and takes Reacher to the Chicago streets, where he ends up getting kidnapped along with a woman. Interestingly, Neagley also takes place in Chicago, which makes it easier for Jack to cross paths with Frances and help her during her mission.

There have been speculations about Ritchson making a cameo in Neagley, and if the upcoming season 4 is adapting Die Trying, this could easily allow the two characters to meet in Chicago. However, an official confirmation from Amazon Prime Video is still pending.
