"Definitely the best possible way to end the series. I was so happy to see how it ended! Definitely Watch it if you still haven't."

Three seasons of life-and-death survival games, elaborate strategies, and emotionally charged relationships all came to an end, and Newman brought it all to a close, with all the tension, tragedy, and hope weighing equally.

Since the first episode of Season 3, Alice in Borderland has been building suspense by keeping viewers guessing with survival games and revealing character growth. This balance was not broken at the end, as it was a way to provide closure without losing the emotional center of the story.

The last test of Arisu was exciting and heartfelt at the same time. It was a game to the death; he sacrificed his own life, and eventually succeeded.

Fans' reactions to the Alice in Borderland Season 3 Finale

Fans were pleased with the way Alice in Borderland was able to bring major arcs of Arisu and Usagi to a close and not lose the stakes of survival.

A fan on Reddit commented, "Definitely a good alternate palate cleanser for those who were disappointed by Squid Game Season 3"
"I think the no. of episodes was just right. This isn't on the same scale as Seasons 1-2 after all as there's no longer a meteorite attack causing so many people to go to the Borderlands. There isnt enough people to sustain too many games this time" said yet another

Among the overall impressions of the audience is the fact that the ending is not part of the common pitfall of depressingly rushed endings of many adaptations. Instead, the final episode took some time to show the final results of the games, the consequences of the choices, and the greater effects of the choices Arisu made.

Some fans noted that while Alice in Borderland Season 3 was more satisfying than Squid Game Season 3, it amusingly shared two similar elements.

"Way better than Squid Game S3, but it's funny that it has 2 similar elements; a baby in the final game, and a teaser for an American version."

The other thing that has been pointed out by fans is that the story itself has allowed them to reflect on friendship, trust, and sacrifice; those elements that have defined Alice in Borderland all along.

Final game and emotional payoff

The finale of the Season 3 episode was a survival competition that involved several layers, and Arisu was physically and mentally challenged. The fans appreciated the fact that the ending gave him a chance to have personal stakes, and therefore, the victory seemed genuine and not contrived.

It was not just the victory of the game but rather the relationships and sacrifices that were the basis of his voyage that gave him the emotional reward. The fact that Usagi survived and conceived a child brought some hope, and the fact that, despite the world being cruel and vicious, there is a chance to live and to be born again.

The reason fans were happy with the ending

This balance of action, emotion, and resolution of narrative, in the finale, has contributed to the largely positive reception. It was a pleasure to see that instead of fearing the stakes that made the series addictive, the danger, tension, and moral dilemmas, Alice in Borderland also found space to hope and meaningful resolutions.

A Reddit user commented, "This season has some good moments but felt a little pointless. Ryuji's character was especially frustrating with how much he was just attracted to usagi but also wanting to off himself because of his past mistakes. Also sidebar on him, why couldn't he walk in the borderlands? The borderlands isn't the real world so I assumed only injury's he sustained there would matter?"

"This season was genuinely so good. Although the games were a bit dead compared to season 1 and 2, i think they wanted to emphasize on the emotional component on this between Arisu and Usagi. But one thing i still dont get is how did Ann know and remember everything?" noted another

Alice in Borderland is a work with a rich history as a live-action show that fulfilled the expectations of both casual viewers and ardent manga adherents. Its climax, which is singled out as touching, faithful to the original, and unassertive, hints at a bigger picture, entrenching the series as an exemplar of the science fiction thriller genre.
