Alien: Earth Season 1 made one of the greatest additions to the franchise with Episode 5 last week. Framed as one of the best episodes from the series, maybe even the franchise, so far, the episode explored the reality behind the ship carrying the creatures and the scientists crashing.
The grizzly eye-midge taking control of the USS Maginot's crew, or the Xenomorph entering the scene when the crew has already suffered a tragic fate, and making everything so much worse. In the creator's words, Episode 5 was Alien: Earth's tribute to the franchise.
Next week, the show will premiere with its sixth episode, titled The Fly, and a first look at the episode, through a trailer, proves that it is set to push all the boundaries of horror, as at least one creature will break free.
Alien: Earth Episode 6 trailer sets up a horrifying connection between Wendy and the aliens

Alien: Earth Episode 5 focused on the building consequences of Boy Kavalier's hubris and recklessness, and with the Nostromo-like interiors, it served as the perfect tribute to the franchise, decorated with new elements. The trailer for the upcoming episode, The Fly, suggests that the new alien species will finally be seen in the episode, and to make matters worse, it flies.
Glimpses of the new species are observed in the trailer. The 'Facehugger' is seen escaping and even latching onto somebody in the trailer. The person might or might not have looked like Arthur, but only time will tell who the Facehugger's prey will be.
Additionally, the story is shifting back to Neverland, as Wendy and the rest of the characters are struggling against Boy Kavalier's hubris as he recklessly pursues these dangerous ideas, convinced that he cannot fail.
The trailer also revealed that the episode will explore Wendy's connection with the alien creatures. The trailer starts with Wendy confronting Dame about the experiments being conducted on these creatures and relating to them, as she was one such experiment as well.

We later find Wendy forming a connection with the aliens as she's seen trying to connect with a Xenomorph. Towards the end of the trailer, her brother Joel, who is only concerned for her safety and wants to get her out, tells her that he's figuring out a way to get them out safely when she replies,
"What if I don't want to go?"
Wendy's connection with the creatures, and her brother's desire to rescue his sister, will definitely face a crack in the upcoming episode. Alien: Earth episode 6 will possibly set up Wendy's connection with the aliens as the bigger track for the further episodes.
Alien: Earth Episode 6: Everything we know about the upcoming release
The horror elements of Episode 5 were already amped up, but next week's episode is set to take things up a notch. The logline for Episode 6 reads:
"Tensions rise as powerful enemies confront each other, a dangerous plan unfolds, and curiosity leads to deadly consequences."
The episode is set to premiere on September 9, Tuesday, at 8 PM (ET) on FX and Hulu. The lurking paranoia of last week's episode is only going to get worse as we go deeper into Alien: Earth.
