At the New York Comic-Con event, X-Men '97 Season 2 was announced to be scheduled for a summer 2026 release. Created by Beau DeMayo, the show was first released in 2024 and serves as a revival of X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-1997). A third season of the show has also been confirmed.

Not much is known about the upcoming Season 2, but Marvel Updates (@marvel_updat3s) has reported on X a confirmed list of characters that will appear in X-Men '97 Season 2.

Characters confirmed to be seen in X-Men '97 Season 2

Season 1 of X-Men '97 continued the story of the 1992 show. It followed the mutants created by Professor Charles Xavier, but this time, due to Professor Xavier's absence, they are led by Magneto, who used to be their adversary. Most of the characters who were part of the show's main cast will appear in X-Men '97 Season 2, along with new ones, as reported by Marvel Updates (@marvel_updat3s) on X.

According to that report, the characters who will be seen in X-Men’ 97 Season 2 are Cyclops, Jean Grey, Professor X, Magneto, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Storm, Beast, Jubilee, Sunspot, Morph, Forge, Bishop, Polaris, Psylocke, Colossus, Cable, Danger, Lady Deathstrike, Havok, Archangel, Omega Red, Sabretooth, Rachel Summers/Mother Askani, and Apocalypse. However, this list of characters set to appear in Season 2 has not yet been officially confirmed by Marvel.

Since no changes in voice cast have been reported yet, the actors who voiced the characters we already saw in Season 1 will most likely voice them in X-Men '97 Season 2 as well. The voice actors of other characters, some of whom appeared in Season 1 but did not have dialogue, are yet to be revealed.

If no changes in the voice cast are made, Ray Chase will voice Scott Summers aka Cyclops, Jennifer Hale will voice Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith will voice Ororo Munroe aka Storm, Cal Dodd will voice Logan aka Wolverine, J. P. Karliak will voice Morph, Lenore Zann will voice Rogue, George Buza will voice Dr. Henry McCoy aka Beast, and Holly Chou will voice Jubilation Lee aka Jubilee.

Ross Marquand will voice Professor Charles Xavier, Adrian Hough will voice Kurt Wagner, aka Nightcrawler, Matthew Waterson will voice Erik Lehnsherr, aka Magneto, Gui Agustini will voice Roberto da Costa, aka Sunspot, Gil Birmingham will voice Forge, Chris Potter will voice Nathan Summers, aka Cable, and Gates McFadden will voice Rachel Summers, aka Mother Askani. Voice actors of Bishop, Polaris, Psylocke, Colossus, Danger, Lady Deathstrike, Havok, Archangel, Omega Red, Sabretooth, and Apocalypse are yet to be revealed.

X-Men '97 is produced by Danielle Costa and Sean Gantka. It has been executive produced by Beau DeMayo, Victoria Alonso, Louis D'Esposito, Kevin Feige, Brad Winderbaum, Matthew Chauncey, Eric Lewald, Julia Lewald, and Larry Houston. The show is a Marvel Studios Animation production.

X-Men '97 Season 2 will be released in summer 2026, and you can stream Season 1 on Disney+.
