In the finale episode of All Creatures Great and Small Season 5, the Skeldale House's housekeeper, Audrey Hall, was left shaken when she came to know that the British Royal Navy ship, HMS Repulse, on which her son Edward was serving, had been sunk by Japan near Malaysia. She spent two weeks worrying about her son. Two weeks later, on a Christmas morning, she received a happy update from her son. He had survived the attack but was injured.

In Season 5, we also saw James return from the RAF training due to his ailment. Meanwhile, Tristan, Siegfreid's younger brother, is back at Darrowby, and it seems like they are trying their best to bond over. Audrey found peace in those anxious times caring for a little fox. When it was injured, Audrey took it to Siegfreid. He wanted to put it down, but Audrey insisted that it should be saved. Later, a senior vet stepped in, and its condition improved.

James and Helen also celebrated their son's first birthday, yet they chose to mellow it down to keep Audrey comfortable, who was anxious about Edward. Later on Christmas morning, when she received an update from Edward, she thanked everyone for being so supportive.

What to expect in All Creatures Great and Small Season 6?

All Creatures Great and Small Season 6 fast forwards three years. It's set in early May 1945, teasing a time when war is nearly over. The trailer gives us a sneak peek into the lives of the pivotal characters. Mrs. Hall seems to be finally back from Sutherland. While the Herriots have welcomed their second child, Rosie Herriot. And for Jimmy, he's busy assisting his father, James, like a little vet in making. Elsewhere, Siegfried seems a bit stressed as he rants out to Jamie,

"You don't have to trouble me for every little thing."

In short, it's a heartwarming chaos with the characters adjusting to their new lives post-war.
